My web camera Logitech (described below) doesn't work with my new Windows 7 operation system installed on my laptop Dell Latitude 505. The same web camera worked very well when my sistem operation was Windows XP. Are the solutions to solve my problem ?

Logitech does not offer Windows 7 drivers for that particular model of webcam. However, visit their website here:

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/435/243?section=downloads&bit=&osid=13

And download the Windows Vista drivers. They should work for you.

Sir, I brought logitech QuickCam 8.1.3 four years ago. That time it was working. but now I am not able to install it. In the middle please wait message is coming and it is not progressing. I...

Mr. Bhakat,

I'm so sorry to hear that. The problem description though is not clear to me. What is the operating system you are installing this QuickCam to? Is it Windows XP or Windows 7? The reason I am asking is that 4 years ago, Windows 7 was not known to computer's yet. Equipments back then have firmwares which were compatible with Windows XP. Now, in order to make the web cam work you either have to downgrade the operating system to XP or replace the camera with the one compatible with Windows 7. Sorry to say that it is not much of help but I really would like to give you the reason why you cannot successfully install this computer to windows 7.

Thank you for choosing FixYa!

Is it compatible to windows 7 64 bit

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?
(making a program work with windows 7)

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_52.jpg

Hello,

After lookng at the base specifacation of this laptop, even if it was upgraded the laptop would not support windows 7. Windows XP would be the latest OS you could install.

The link below will take you to Logitech's support page for that specific model of web cam. You will need to select the operating system you are running but will be able to download the latest software and driver for the device.

I got a new dell laptop and installed windows home edition and when i went to use it the wifi/wireless drivers were not installed how do i get them to be installed for a dell latitude d610 laptop?

Re-install the Operating System that was "factory-installed" onto the computer (Vista? 7?), and the correct device-drivers will be loaded.

You probably have "abandoned" other "ancient" Microsoft products (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000), and now it's time for you to get used to Microsoft's newest Operating Systems, namely Vista and/or 7.

How could you make a ezonics webcam work on a dell c600

The EZonic Web Camera people should not be manufacturing or selling their Web Camera's if they won't provide the Web Camera drivers free. Instead people who have purchased the EZonic Web Camera's have to pay for them.
My suggestion to those who have purchased an Ezonic Web Camera is to pitch it and get it from Microsoft
and/or Logitech who provide support and driver availablity. That goes for Sony and a nmber of other
manufactures.

Copy one of the sites below and paste it into your ADDRESS BAR and hit ENTER to check out how easy it is to get the drivers you need to support the Windows operating system (ie. XP, Vista, & Windows 7).

Microdoft Site:

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=ICEbd

Logitech Site:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/405/&cl=us,en?prodcrid=405

My recommendation: Why pay for the drivers, you'd be money ahead to purchase one of these cameras.

Hope this is of some help and is not only my opinion but plenty of other Technicians. Bud
