I want to register my new Blu-Ray DVD player.

You should be able to go to your manufacturers website to register your DVD player. Normally you will first register yourself, and then register your unit. If your player has the ability to connect to the Internet for extra content on Blu-Ray discs, the website will have a way to allow you to connect your unit to the site and then their software will automatically read your model and serial number. The site will also allow you to update the BIOS, or basic operating system of your player, by again connecting to the website and having it read your version of software to determine if you need an update.

If the above information does not resolve your issue please post another question but include the details of your unit, specifically the manufacturer, and model number of the unit. I will then be able to provide you with specific instructions to aid you in resolving your issue.

Player will not register there is a disk put in

All you can really do is clean the lens. If that doesn't work it might need a new lens/lazer unit, they are expensive and unless the DVD player is too, perhaps not worth it.

Register online

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

Actually, there is no reason for you to register the product. Registration is used for marketing data so that the corporate office's sales and marketing departments understand what type of people are buying the product. This is why most registration cards ask so many questions. As far as your warranty is concerned, the only thing you'll need is a copy of the receipt. Filling out registration cards is just another way companies try to get your information.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

Dvd rom wont register

thats maybe due to the data cable thats the flat cable that transfer the data from your motherboard to the dvd in the back of your hard drive and the back of your dvd there are some pins and a little block made by plastic . that is call a jumper and thats what does the settings for your drivers and on top of the hard drive it has a diagram to set them the dvd has that one to but is on the back next to the power conexion so your hard drive needs to be set as master and if they are using the same data cable the dvd needs to be set as slave

PHILIPS DVDR3480

1 year typical/90 days possible - register online, or call Philips and register the product, and they will honor from your actual purchase date rather than the manufacture date. Do it now before the product breaks.
