Do you accidentally have it muted? The Mute button, located on PASSPORT's top panel and SmartCord. Have you turned up the volume on it? Volume Control (VOL) To increase or decrease the audio volume, press and hold the (+) or (-) volume control buttons located on the top case. A sample alert tone will be generated, along with a corresponding bar-graph on the display. Once you have reached your desired volume level, simply release the button. This level will be stored in memory. In Preferences Auto Volume is the default. This feature will increase the audio alert level automatically when the ambient noise in the vehicle is high. Battery is too low to turn the engine over. Get it jumped and drive it to AutoZone. They will run a free diagnostic and tell you whether it's the battery or the alternator.

check the invertor boards resistors they power the back lights
also check for any capactors that have blown (raised tops) they look little bateries

you may want to check to see if the speaker wire is connected to the audio board. You'll need to remove the Keyboard, palm rest, etc. It should be located toward the front of the LT.
