Was on wow a couple of hours and started getting a few horizontal lines across the screen then in a few seconds the screen was covered with the lines by the time i logged out i could barely see the screen then it went to a flickering blue screen and I can't do anything with it.......anyone know what might cause this??

I would try the following:

1) Switch to a different monitor...your current one may be dying.

2) Plug into a different video port (either second port on current card or ports on second card)

3) Remove one graphics card, disable SLI and try both video ports.

4) Try step 3 with second graphics card.

5) If you can, try plugging in another HDD to boot from.

Basically, remove components one at a time to try and reveal which one is messed up. I would even try taking out RAM. A last ditch hope is to reset CMOS by removing the battery (circular, mobo manual will show you where it is located) OR reinstall Windows.

Best of luck!

Either bad RAM, overheated CPU, or a bad (or overheated) video card will cause this. Usually it's bad RAM.

I'm assuming you're running Windows 7. To test RAM with windows 7:

Method 1:From Windows 7 Start Menu
•Click the Windows 7 Start button, type memory, and click on Windows Memory Diagnostic
•When the Windows Memory Diagnostic screen loads, click Restart now and check for problems
•You computer will restart
•The memory diagnostic will run and may take some time
•Windows will restart and report any errors to you
Method 2: From Windows 7 Control Panel
•Click the Windows 7 Start button.
•Select Control Panel
•Click the System and Maintenance icon
•Select Administrative Tools
•Then, click the Memory Diagnostics Tool icon.
•Click the option to restart your computer now and run the memory diagnostics test or to schedule the memory diagnostic test to run at your next reboot.
Method 3: From Windows 7 Command Prompt
•Click the Windows 7 Start button.
•Type cmd in the Start Menu's search box.
•Right-click cmd.exe in the search results and then select Run as administrator.
•Type mdsched.exe in the command prompt and then press enter.
•Click the option to restart your computer now and run the memory diagnostics test or to schedule the memory diagnostic test to run at your next reboot.
Method 4: From The Windows Boot Manager
•Restart your computer.
•Start pressing F8 on your keyboard.
•This will open advanced boot options screen.
•Click Esc on your keyboard while you're in the advanced boot options screen.
•You'll be taken to the Windows Boot Manager screen.
•Press Tab on your keyboard to move to the Tools section of the boot manager screen and then press enter to start the Memory Diagnostics.

E21088 compatability

I see no reason why you couldn't. The motherboard supports the CPU's socket, and the GTX 660 isn't that powerful of a card. So long as you have a sufficient power supply (no less than 500 watts) you'll I see no reason why you couldn't.

I7 950 compatibility

The basic answer is no because the motherboard only accepts the socket LGA 2011 while the Intel i7-950 is a LGA 1366 socket.

Can windows 7 run GTA IV.

Hi,
Running GTA 4 on windows 7 should not be a problem. You just have to run the installer using compatibility mode. Right click on the "setup.exe" then choose Properties. Go to Compatibility tab and tick "run this program in compatibility mode for", choose windows xp sp 3. That should allow you to install GTA 4 on windows 7. Bear in mind that you have to install GfW Live and the C++ 2005 files seperately which can be found in the disk as well. More importantly, make sure that your computer meets the system requirements for the game.
Here it is: System Requirements
Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz Memory: 1.5GB, 16GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900
Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista) 18 GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870
After installing the game and you're not able to run it, Try running the main executable file of the game in compatibility mode as well.

Hope this helps.

New build or worked for years and failed what?
not using 2010 or older monitors , RIGHT>?
this mobo is 2010 so I ask this due to age of PC.
the 7year old coin cell can be bad, and if is can not be ignored.
board same name rev.2.3? what hw rev is it. not told
bad news is this EOL/DOA nForce 630aGPU chip set to avoid.
this is nice board.and has vga on board, using that???????????
no video port told , we can no guess that nor card GPU
nor cable video used, VGA, HDMI, DVI, or DP used
my card has 3 ports all 3 different and not VGA on the modern cards\VGA is EOL now, on card.
if card is there only it works all other (mobo igPU) are disabled
the mobo has 2 power cables to mobo, both must be planted.
24pin and 4pin , forgot 4pin as we see all the time, noobs
4pin just behind those silly P./S2 ports top rear.
the card goes on x16 slot only does it? if is card
windows 7 is MAX for life due to lame use of Nforce relic chips, EOL
but we are not at windows yet
bios is dead. and is first things first fix. dead screens.
NO PSU told nor if its fan spins.
regardless of any OS, BIOS will run the VGA port, hard coded it is.
so that is first.\

the 630a chip set last driver on earth w7-64 is here. 2009 release.

I would like advice on upgrading my Graphics card

Unfortunatly your still running low end CPU power and low end agp graphics. Your going to pay 150-200 just for a fair PCIe/AGP HD/3D VC. If $200 doesnt hurt (and this is the lowest price best option), then might I suggest Mobo/CPU/RAM for around $200 that would do the trick and allow for future upgrades. You might also need a power supply. I just built one less than 3 weeks ago for a friend and it fairs against my own gaming comp.
MY PC...
AMD ATHLON 64 X2 DCP 6000+ 3.01GHz
NFORCE6M-A V:2.0
8GB PATRIOT
XFX 8800GT AD 512MB
500W PS

NEW PC....
Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2 MB $90+/-
AMD Athlon™ II X2 250 BOX 3.0GHz (CAME W/FAN)$70+/-
AND 4GB OF DDR3 1066 RAM COMPATIBLE WITH MOBO $40+/-
THE ONBOARD VIDEO IS CAPABLE OF USING 700MB
OF RAM...RGB/DVI OUT.

HOPE THIS HELPS.

Gigabyte mother board ga-6bx7+

You might have damaged the CPU/ motherboard during the process of overclocking.

Check your CPU on other compatible mobo.

Check your mobo documentation properly & set the jumpers rightly. If that doesn't help, you will have to replace the mobo.
