It most probably is the fan. I am guessing you are using a laptop which tends to heat fast and the fan is working with its full capacity. Hence the noise.

Try buying en external laptop cooling set which will reduce the performance of the internal fan and reduce the noise.

Cheers

It is most likely the fan. When doing things like watching flash video (e.g. YouTube or Hulu), it uses a lot of CPU power, thus your fan needs to spin in order to keep your computer from overheating.

My LCD TV's audio is making a loud intermittent static buzzing noise.

A test you can make is remove most of the gear that is connected and start with just the cable and no box connected--run to see if issue happens-

Add more equipment until issue appears again--try this way to see what unit is causing this---if nothing but a DVD connected and it does it--its in the set--if not a time consuming thing but only way to see which piece of the equipment involved is the problem.

Intermittent loud cracking noise when running, otherwise performs ok

Hello,
Does the loud cracking noise normally happen at night when its quiet.
Anyway whenever it happens it is most probably the automatic defrost heater kicking in and the noise you hear is ice melting. This could cut in every 12/14 hours depending on system and would normally run for about 15 mins. After this time the compressor should cut back in and the unit will run as normal.

Hope I helped.

Panasonic AG-455 Problem

The noise is most likely bad bearings in the video head assembly. No longer available from Panasonic. The b/w recording problem is most likely caused by a bad video board inside the camera. Unfortunately, the video board is also no longer available.
