my philips 202E line series monitor has been locked and while operating
touch sensitive controlas on it I receive a msg "monitor controls
locked" and not able to adjust brightness of my monitor. thank you
'OSD Lock': Controls user access to adjustments. When 'Yes' (+) is selected, no user adjustments are allowed. All buttons are locked except the menu button. All buttons can be locked or unlocked when the 'Menu' button is pushed and held for over 15 seconds.
if it is locked on the monitor itself look through the on-screen menus for a factory reset option that should do the trick. if it is locked from the computer make sure that it is not just a problem with the audio/video card driver software. many times even if you change the settings on the monitor the audio or video card may still force certain user settings requardless of the actual settings on speakers or monitor. hope this helps
Same problem OSD main controls locked the 5 seconds later OSD main controls unlocked then system closes down sayingproblem with atkdisp, what does all this mean? Can still operate my computer but thid damned flashing OSD message continues.
This is a "feature" they include to prevent accidental changes to the screen setup.
You should be able to unlock the OSD by pushing the Menu button and the right arrow button together for about three seconds. The message "controls unlocked" should appear.
