That is because the thread lever on these machines does not come out, you have to place the thread over the top of the arm and it will find the ****.
then continue to thread your needle.

there is no hole to thread it is very easy when you have done it once, just follow the instructions in the manual carefully.

Why is the thread keep coming off of the take up lever when sewing?

some sewing machines will do that, you can take a piece of tape and put it on the take up lever, so it will hold the thread in, or try taking a pair of pliers and closing the take up lever a bit, but not enough to damage the lever

The take-up lever does not raise up high enough to pass the thread through easily. Any other way of doing this?

make sure that the needle is at the top of the stroke
if you have to you can let the foot down and that should give you ample room to thread the eye of the needle
if not the needle timing may have slipped in which case it will need a service or the needle may not be up in the holder far enough

The thread keeps coming off the take up lever on my Quilt 50 Toyota Quiltmaster while sewing.

take a piece of tape and put the tape of the take up lever or take a pair of pliers and close the take up lever just enough so the thread will not come off. I had the same thing happen on one of my sewing machines.

Ishow me how to rewind the bobbin on a touch tronic 2001 singer sewing machine

Presser foot up, takeup lever at the top, thread the machine normally all the way and through the needle, open the needle plate, press the little lever to the right, wind the thread from the needle round the presser foot screw, press on the foot control slowly and wind the bobbin, when you have enough thread on the bobbin close the slide plate the winder will drop down, pull the threads to the back of the machine and start sewing

Thread take up lever does not raise high enough to thread.

you don't thread it like we did the older machines... it has a slot... just come up the right side over and down the left side... it will slip into place.

Takeup lever won't come up high enough to thread the thread through the eye.

The needle may not be inserted all the way, try a new needle and insert it as far as it will go and turn the hand wheel towards you until the needle shaft is all the way up, do not turn it away from you because it can mess up the timing. Let me know if you still have a problem.

Have a new machine and trying to thread for the first time. Thread take-up lever does not move into a high enough position for me to thread cotton through the eye. Help please.

You should be able to turn the hand wheel (on the right side of the machine) towards you and you should see the take up lever on the top left. It does not stick above the machine.

UNDER THREAD NOT CATCHING

Hi, This is a threading problem.
When you thread the machine, to make sure it is right in the top tension, thread as far as the take-up lever and stop.
Set the presser foot down, turn the top tension dial to zero, and then to 3 or 5. While turn the dial, pull the thread some to see if it tightens up as the dial increases in numbers.
After the thread comes out of the tension discs, it should then go through the check spring, then up to the take-lever.
The needle is correct and thread from the inside out, meaning right to left.

Hope this helps for now..

Take care

The thread is bunching underneath the material and the stitching is very loose

Usually that is due to insufficient upper tension OR a thread routing problem. Make sure when the presser is lowered that the upper tension activates. I think if one had really thick material the tension MIGHT not activate because the lever would not come down far enough.

Check that the needle is in right... usually the long groove is closest to the operator.
