Toshiba touch pad scrolls instead of moving cursor

You might be able to disable the scroll function in the mouse settings. Open the control panel, then go to the Mouse icon. There might be a tab that says Device Settings. If so click that and look in Properties.

My scrollbar won't stop scrolling down on my Toshiba L305d laptop. I tried using a mouse instead of the scrollpad but it still keeps goin down all the time.

You need to go into DEVICE manager and uninstall the Scrool pad or better yet have it fixed. the issue here is the scrool pad is worn out and now is too sensitive the best fix is have it replaced untl then Device manage, uninstall or disable.

diagnosis bad touch pad

MY SCROLL DOESNT WORK ON MY TOUCH PAD

this may be unfortunate, but it's plain and simple. Either SYNAPTICS POINTING DEVICE which can be found 'C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP' on your laptop i corrupted or infected, or your touch pad is buggered. Hope this was of some help and if you have anymore problems just post them.
