Turned on dryer & tried to start but it gave a load thud noise & wouldn't go. Stop it then re-started a light came on stating clean filter. Clean filter & look inside that area to see if something large was down in there couldn't see anything. Tried to start again would start & no noise.

There is a sensor located beneath the lint filter, more the likely the dryer sheet residue is on it, gently brush it off, it has two screws. As far as the loud thud noise is/may be a problem with the drum/rollers/glides/belt/idler arm/motor Here is a website that will assist you, once the filter light goes off and the drum will not turn.Good Luck Tim

LG WM3455H won't turn on.

Unplugging to reset only works when the washer has power and on stand by. Start by checking the fuse on the noise filter, that is were the power cord connects to. If good than your main board is bad.

Hi Heather, thank you for your question!

Generally speaking, there are several thermal fuses that may have opened if the temperature inside the unit rises too high. Typically, an open thermal fuse is a result of restricted exhaust vent. I suggest cleaning the vent and to confirmed that it is completely clear from any debris, dust, etc. Along with the thermal fuses, the heater could be in the open position. In this case, you may wish to reach out to an appliance expert who is the best equipped to pinpoint the exact problem, which can often save you funds and a headache. I hope this information helps to some degree.

My machine had been giving E20 error code - cleaned out filter and pressed start button and it started again ok. During wash it jammed and all lights went on (except spin speeds) and it wouldn't...

E20 is a general error code to get to the real problem try this.. Reading ErrorCodes 1. Wake the washer by pressing any button. 2. Wait 5 seconds. 3. Press and hold

Drum occasionally will not turn unless manually turned a few times before start; can here a thud each time manually turned.

I beleive the start capacitor is faulty & it has dropped away from where it's supposed to mount inside, the capacitor is probably dangling down, hanging by it's wires & banging on the drum as it rotates. The start capasitor gives the motor it's first kick start to get goin & it's not working that's why you have to help by turning the drum.

Bass problem

You're getting some sort of capacitor discharge noise on your signal. There's no easy fix for that. It will have to be taken in for service.
