I was having the same problem with my shredder. I called customer service; I was informed it was the gears on the inside of my shredder. My shredder is no longer under warranty. Don't open your shredder to repair it yourself because it will void your warranty. However, she is mailing me out the part I need for a small fee. Their customer service number is 1-800-327-8508 in the USA and international only 1-310-793-5650. I do hope this help you!

My Omnitech shredder(OT-NXC14PA) kept jamming. I unjammed & it's totally clean of all paper. It runs fine in reverse & the green light comes on in auto mode, but it won't accept any paper to shred.

ok once you have unjammed your shredder try to reduce the thickness of your load and slowing down the paper going thru hope this helps

My royal sp12mx will work in reverse but nothing happens when i insert paper to shred. light is on

there is a very small lever between two cutters around the middle that activates a microswitch to turn it on when you offer paper to be cut
the problem will be in that area ( switch or lever broken) as it's purpose is to switch on the cutters
reverse is straight drive from the control switch

Only runs in reverse

I just had this problem with my shredder. I think the problem started with a bin that was full. Running the shredder in reverse resulted in shredded paper being pulled up into the slot used to feed paper into the shredder. Some of this shredded paper was blocking the little plastic tab that activates the switch when paper is inserted, so the shredder would no longer start when paper was inserted. I emptied the bin and removed the shredded paper from the feed slot, being careful not to break the plastic "sensor" while removing the paper from under it. The shredder works fine now.

Switcheson fine but does not accept paper

Does it run in reverse???? Does the motor work.???
If it runs in reverse then the motor is probaly OK....does your machine have "eyes" that automatically start the shredder when the paper is inserted??? if it does then they may be "dirty/dusty"...try cleaning them ; if that dosn't fix it then you may have defective "eyes" or defective pcb.

The engine runs when paper is inserted but the mechanism does not grab the paper, also it whines loudly when switched to reverse???

the rubber who grab the paper is used, need to be replaced, and check for all input rubber situation, probably needs also to be replaced
