I just got a Fujifilm Finepix s2800 and it keeps showing "read error" on the screen and doesn't show the images taken. I formatted the memory card several times and there has been no change. Same thing happens when I try to take a photo using only the internal memory. How do I fix this?

SOURCE: Image qulaity problem in fujifilm finepix fd50

It sounds like the resolution on the monitor may be set incorrectly in Photoshop. Try a different monitor setting. Twelve megapixels may result in your monitor "seeing" so many pixels it tries to ignore the excess ones, resulting in an image that looks poor on your monitor. If you order one print, that may give you an idea of the true printed quality without spending a lot of money on a bunch of bad prints. The F50 is truly an excellent camera and gives super images, from my experience.

SOURCE: how to transfer internal images to sd card?

Put memory card in camera, power up, go to menu and find copy option, select it and press ok.
That will copy picture files from internal memory to memory card.

An update to the initial posting. As a warranty service provider, I can state that physical damage as a result of mis-use is NOT covered under warranty. Lens problems caused by dropping the camera are considered mis-use and are not covered. There is a good posibility that the lens assembly is just out of timing and can be rebuilt, but the cost to do this will not be paid by the manufacturer.

I don't want you to believe that this repair will be for free as it will not.

Regards,
Dan

Fujifilm Finepix Z900EXR. I can't see the date stamp in pictures when uploaded to PC from my camera. Is there a way to turn it on?

Question edited for clarity.

The manual refers and says it is from the clock is set on the camera. If they show in your camera screen and not on the PC image, you can use the EXIF Data on the image by Right Click / Properties.

Why does my wife's camera appear to take the picture, but the monitor shows blank, and eventually says reading error?

Sound like an issue with the memory card. Try re-seatng the card in the camera, or better yet, try another card in the camera. If you only have 1 card, and you have all the images saved from the card, try formatting the card in the camera. [this will erase all the images, so make sure they are copied elsewhere first]

Need to activate date/time stamp on Finepix AX200.

In playback mode, press DISP/BACK to select a playback display format. This will turn the Information display on, which will show you the date/time the picture was taken.

This camera does not have a Time/Date Stamp that actually stays on the picture like some cameras do. Instead, the Time/Date Stamp is included in the Image File Properties, and can be viewed or modified from any Windows PC.

My Fujifilm 128MB XD card shows 'Read error' when inserted into my camera, but the photos will display on my computer - HELP!!

If you have rotated the images on your PC, you may find that your camera is not able to process the images correctly.

If not, try backing the photos up onto computer, format the XD card and then try copying the pictures back if you need to have them on the camera.

My FujiFilm FinePix F47 fd has an error message that keeps saying 'Read Error' Help Please!!!

Hi,

The Read Error message displayed on the Camera when accessing the images which was not recorded correctly. This may also happen when the Memory Stick is corrupted to record or read the files. Please check if the message is displaying when accessing all the images. If it happens with all the images, then it may be an issue with the Camera or the Memory Stick.
To check if the issue is with the Memory Stick, try using a different Memory Stick and check if the message displays. This may also happen when an attempt was made to play back the image or the movie that was not recorded on this camera.
Try to wipe the contact area on the Memory Card with a soft, dry cloth. It may be necessary to format the Memory Card (Format option is available in the Setup 2 Menu of the Camera). If the message still appears, service may be required.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My fuji finepix a200 camera is showing protected card. i cant get it to go off. How do I fix this

I'm going to show you a diagram that has to do with the card lock on the side of your memory card this slide is there to protect a card with images on it so it's not put back in the camera and formatted
Card locktri3mast_34.jpg
Once you have unlocked the memory card you need to format the card to make it ready to accept new pictures from your camera. I hope you download your images first before formatting.
