Hello,
There are three types of display settings. 1 PAL, 2, NTSC and 3, Auto.
The
pal and auto makes a display show color while the NTSC allow a display
show in black and white but sometimes NTSC also shows color. It is
possible that the display format on the movie is NTSC.
To fix
this problem, play the movie that shows black and white. When the movie
shows in black and white, press PAL/NTSC or P/N on the remote control
and it should display in color.
Or Go to the player menu, check video or display setting, change it to Auto.
Problem should be fixed because that's where it lies....
But if it doesn't solve the problem, please let me know so that I may direct you further on what next to do.
I hope you understand the above.
Good luck.
I have had this same issue and it was the video processor in the DVD unit. May be cheaper to get a new unit than to repair that one....you'll just have to price it out. Eventually, it will quit playing in B&W and you will only have sound.
