My 26LV61K 26 inch LCD TV screen just flashes grey and white when I turn in on. The sound still works, but when I turn it to DVD mode, it still flashes grey and white (so it's not the cable). Pretty sure there isn't a quick fix, but any idea what it is so I know what part to replace? Also, the light on the bottom left-hand corner of the tv stays green, it doesn't blink or anything. - AC

Could ba a power supply problem. Check for for bad capacitors (tops look domed instead of flat).

    You have bad LCD panel, the problem is in the sub-power supply on the board on the top of the LCD panel.

    It uses cheaply made LCD panel made by Chei Mei. Very common with this TV iwth this panel.

How to troubleshoot lcd tv
If you are using the ANTENNA input mode of the TV and should be receiving a local station on a properly chosen channel then something is wrong with the RF or IF section inside the TV. If you can connect an external video source to the TV see if that works while selecting the proper input mode.

My TV all of a sudden turned white and grey.
First, try to play DVD on your tv to determine if the problem is on TV itself. If the TV looks fine on DVD you have cable box connection problem if not you have faulty t-con board not bulb etc.

T-con is the responsible for colors and image graphics.

You may have a difficult time finding parts for this. The symptoms you describe are not consistent with that of a bad power supply.

Hi:
This problem is due to a inverter board, one or two capacitors on the inverter are going bad, look for caps that are puffy on their tops as they all should be flat, also check the T-Con board for faulty conditions as well, when this board goes bad it causes unusual problems.
