Where can I buy a new spring for a Scotts Evengreen Spreader?

Go to local hardware store and ask to see their spring assortment. Select one that looks like it will work and put it on.

Yes, you will need to remove spring and take to hardware store or automotive parts store to match it up. Or you can look online at the parts list for your spreader and order it from Scotts directly.

Hi Dennis. I don't think there are any after market parts for Scotts spreaders. I do recall a wire and a spring on one type of Scotts spreader. There was an eyelet hole just off center that the wire and spring attached to. You could probably rig something up pretty easy. Would be a matter of locating a spring and wire.

Before you get to deep into this... flip it over and look for dried / caked fertilizer on next to thehinge area. I have seen this stop spreader application doors from closing often.

You can use almost any spring with the same or close tension. Lowes and Home-Depot carry an assortment of springs.

add 10 - Scotts Turfbuilder spread at # 4 on a Scotts spreader should be on setting # 14 on an Earthway spreader.
