Getting photos off the phone onto the computer

It will depend on what software you're running on the computer, but if you have Windows 7, just connecting the phone via the USB cord should bring up an option menu (after the computer searches for and installs a driver for your phone) which allows you to "download pictures" or "view files". Even if the menu doesn't pop up, you're phone should still appear on your computer as an external drive. Simply open the drive, and look in a folder called DCIM for the pictures.

I cannot download my photos onto my computer

If you are saving the photos onto the internal memory (not a MicroSD), then you'll need to access it through the "Contents" tool in the PC Suite.

If this is not working, in Phone Settings, go to Connectivity and then USB Connection Mode. Make sure "Data service" is selected.

However, if you have saved the photos onto a memory card, select "Mass Storage" in the settings above. After you connect your phone, it should appear as an external drive (like a USB), which you can directly access.

Hope that helps.

Can't download photo's onto computer

Are you connecting your phone as a Mass Storage Device?

  1. From the home screen, attach one end of the Motorola Original Enhanced USB cable to your phone and the other end to a USB port on your computer.
  2. On your phone, press Yes to use the phone as a portable USB storage device.
Note: When connected as a storage device the phone cannot perform regular phone activities. Disconnect to resume normal operation.
  3. On the PC, open the My Computer window and find where your phone displays as a Mass Storage icon.
Double click the Mass Storage Device icon.
  4. Drag and drop files between your computer and phone.
  5. When finished, remove the phone safely from your computer. Right click the "Safely Remove Hardware"
icon at the bottom of your computer screen, then select "USB Mass Storage Device" and click Stop.
  6. Select USB Mass Storage Device and click OK.
Now it is safe to disconnect the cable. When the cable is disconnected, the phone restarts
