My Sandisk sansa clip+ g4 mp3 player just locked up and wont respond. How can I get it going again? Plugging it into the usb port does not revive it. The logo is showing on the screen but the unit will not turn on or off.

It's locked up means the player is frozen. To resolve this you need to reset the player.

Reset the player by pressing and holding the power button for about 30 secs then turn it back on.

This should resolve the freezing problem.

Hold down the power button for 15 seconds and see if that doesn't reset it.

Sandisk 4gb microSdhc wont read in computer

Hi Tyler person,

"- Turn it OFF
- Put it in the HOLD position
- HOLD the center button IN while plugging into USB port, continue to hold for 5 to 7 sec even after plugged in.
At this point MY COMPUTER recognized it. And it worked.

OR

- go to WWW.MICROSOFT.COM
- In the upper right hand search bar, type in MTP PORTING KIT
download the first one. Now my Sansa Clip work perfect. I wish I would have talked to him last week before I returned the last one, for the same reasons.

If this does not help call the 1-800 # , opt #4, and ask for GUY (yes that is really his name)"

Hey my sandisk sansa 2gb mp3 player will not charge and it is bran new how do i fix this

1) Try plugging it into a USB port on the BACK panel of your PC, and leave it there for a few hours.

2) Try plugging it into an AC adapter, and leave it there for a few hours.

3) There was a manufacturing problem with many Sansa Clips where the battery leads would detach from the battery. This would result in the Clip not being chargeable, and eventually it would only turn on when connected to a PC (which bypasses the battery). If this is the case with yours, you'll need to return it for a replacement.

Sandisk sansa wont read when i put it in my usb drive , cpu cant find it

On your sansa, go to "Settings" then System Settings" then "USB Mode," then change it to MSC, if that does not work, try the other modes, just in case.
Hope this helps!

How can you charge SanDisk Sansa CLIP MP3 Player apart from the usb

It really needs a USB port. If your computer doesn't have a USB port, you can buy an AC adapter that will power a USB port. Check the cell phone section of your local department or electronics store.

My sanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player will not charge anymore. At least not on the computer I'm on. I have had it hooked up to charge for 2 days now and nothing. Why is this and how can I charge it?

This is direct from the sansa FAQs at http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_clip/faqs 02. Why won’t my Sansa Clip charge when I connect it to my computer? USB Cable
Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable.

Computer in Hibernation mode
Make sure that the computer isn’t entering hibernate or sleep mode while the device is connected. The computer must be on in order to charge your player.

USB Port 2.0
Make sure your player is connected USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).

USB Port location
Try plugging in different USB port (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); sometimes the front USB ports have problem charging up the device.

Battery
Make sure the battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

Latest firmware
Make sure to update firmware by downloading and installing the Sansa Firmware Updater.

I hope this helps, and don't forget to rate the answer.

Sandisk sansa clip mp3 only comes on when plugged into a usb con.

Try holding in the power button for about 5-7 seconds, and then release. Also, make sure the hold/lock switch was not accidentally engaged.

Connected, but no recognition from PC

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
