It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

The color wheel if bad enough, will cause the lamp not to light. If the lamp is truly bad, you can't usually tell by just looking at it unless of course it is broken.

The most common blink code for the Standby/Temp LED is the Temp Sensor and or Actuator Board. You can confirm which on by jumping the CN106 connector on the Actuator board. If the set works now, the Temp Sensor must be replaced. If it doesn't work, the Actuator Board would need to be replaced. If you are not familiar with the chassis or electronics at all , I do not recommend trying to fix it, call a professional. Don't take the chance of damaging it further.
I hope this helps,

Some initial diagnostics that I ran: checked lamp. It is intact and glows bright. I attempted to put the unit in service mode, can not access, just a blank screen. I pulled the color wheel, it is 100% intact. It moves freely and no noise when the unit spins it up. When I pulled it, it sounds like it rubs when you spin it. Should this be completely sound free? The service manual says if these two steps passed then replace the DMD board. When I scan the forums, everyone says to reflow the digital board. What else can I check to make sure I make the correct repair?
