You need a new headphone Jack. The parts can be acquired from Radio Shack or any online retailer, here's a good instruction video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrZUyVYUYkA

What is wrong? my active bass whether i put a new battery in or not sounds passive no change whatsoever. quite a bit of the low end is severely missing. Schecter STARGAZER 5 bass.

That bass combines passive EMG pickups with an active preamp (which provides the bass and treble controls). Sounds like you are never getting the preamp to work, and if that is the case there could be numerous reasons...a dead battery...jack wiring that is broken (meaning the battery ground wire is not attached or is grounding out)...likely should see a tech, but that is a good sounding bass when working correctly.

Why is there no bass from my speakers when plugged into laptop?

Could be something wrong with the output from laptop.Try wiggling the jack in the connector while music is playing to see if there's any change.

When I'm playing, I want a bit more from the bass my my Cajon. Is it possible to get a foot pedal for my Cajon LPA 1331 (with wire) ? Cheers, Liam

A cajon is an acoustic instrument. If you want it louder you have to play harder or amplify it with a microphone and amplifier.

This bass squels if you have a bass head and cabinet. i had a 100W amp and it played fine then upgraded to a head/cab. tryed playing it with loud volume, squels. anyway to fix this?

Turn down the treble gain and mid gain... you don't need it for a bass. Prevent the guitar from "hearing" the output of the amp directly. The guitar strings make a good microphone.

Bass hits, but quits.

you will need a larger ground wire also try bolting it down in a new location if you have to scrape away any paint to bolt it to metal
hope this helped
