Is there a romote code to progarm into a DISH 20.0 remote to turn on and off the tv plus volume and mute functions? DISH does not have the code in their manual. Thanks

Here are the steps for a power scan, which will scan the tv for the correct code:
1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

The codes used to program your DISH remote to the TV may be limited to some functions. You can try addressing your remote to the TV using different codes. 1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if it is working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

I have provided instructions on how you can program your remote to your TV. Without knowing the brand TV you have, I have provided a link with the codes you can try.

Program to TV:
  • Remotes: Basic (Television Only)
    1. Turn the Television On.

I could not find a code for that TV brand but I have provided instructions on performing a power scan to possibly find a code with your DISH remote that will work for your TV. I hope this helps.

Remote: Basic Remote (Television Only)
  1. Turn the Television On.

  3. Press and release the TV Power button.
  4. Press and release the Up or Down Arrow on the remote until the television turns off.

I came across your post. Are you still having problems with your DISH Network remote operating your Insignia TV? If you still are, I have 2 codes you can try to see if it will work on your TV. The codes are: 720, 539. The steps to program the remote to the TV are below.

Need to reprogram two dish remotes but cannot find the dish manual with the remote codes in them.
I would need to get a better idea of what model remote you have. I would recommend viewing our remote codes found here: http://www.dishnetwork.com/downloads/pdf/user_guides_and_manuals/Remote_Codes_Web_Page.pdf

You can find the model # on the back of the remote at the top, and the codes on the above link.

To program remote to TV:
1. Hold the gray TV button until all lights on top of the remote turn on.
2. Let go and while TV is blinking enter the 3-digit code and press #.
3. Try to use TV functions like volume/power/mute.
4. If it works press SAT and you're good, if not repeat steps 1-3 with another code on the list.

Our dish remotes are compatible with most TV manufacturers. On some older TV, we may not have codes that allow for full functionality for the DISH remote. I have provided the most common codes to work with the Sharp TV. The codes are: 628, 605, 740, 591, and 606. I have also provided instructions on programming the remote to the TV.
