Question about Samsung HLP4663W 46" Rear Projection HDTV

Fan sound when turn off tv

I have samsung DLPtv mod no sp61l6hx

i have this problem that when i turn tv on it makes sound like reeeeeeeeee for 5 seconds but when it start every thing is ok pictur sound every thing but if i put dvd player on after 5 or 6 minutes tv start making noice like reeeeeee but if i was watching tv there is no reee sound tv works fine but when i turn tv off it makes sound like some fan is turninng off shoooooooooooo . could u help me what is the problem

The tv also have a board that call the Ballast board could be dead too.This Ballast board only job are to ignite the tv projection lamp.

Google your model number; I suspect it is a bad color wheel--lots of these sets have a fan like noise or even a grinding sound sometimes called a high pitched whine.

The part can be customer replaceable and YOUTube has actual video instructions for its replacement.

could be the Ballast for the lamp is bad or the color wheel is failing. could also be power supply board or dmd board. really need a tech to look at it.

Tv turns on with sound but no picture

Check the lamp, that can cuase that condition. If the lamp's glass looks foggy somewhat or it might be broken inside that will be the problem.

try to resolder your vertical output IC thats a commen problem when the tv does that
