You need to contact your broadband provider.

Usually it is your username with your provider e.g: [email protected] so in this case your PPoE user name is johnsmith1.

Telephone your Internet Service Provider, and identify yourself, and ask for that information.

Reset switch JE00A I need to reset the switch, is

You can perform the reset by pressing and holding a small button labelled as reset usuallay at the side of the router you need to have a needle or any other sharp object to access it. Alternatively you can rest it using the web based portal. Just connect the router via an Ethernet cable and browse to the IP provided at the bottom of the router provide user name and password from the bottom and once you are logged in choose to reset the router.

I have a zyxel 600 wireless router. I just changed to a different ISP and now I cannot connect from my wireless devices. I can only connect with an ethernet cable. My wireless device detects the device and...

Get the manual from the manufacturer web site and find out how to log in to the router. You need to change the config for your new ISP. It may require user name and pass phrase before you can log in. If your last ISP was say cable, there are different options for DSL ISP's such as PPoE and the like.

What do you mean that you can;t connect from wireless devs? Can't connect to router or the ISP ?

If you reset to factory config, you need to set the router to use the same security mode and passwords as you did before the reset (or use a new passphrase with WPA2 and AES and distribute it to all workstations).

Won't connect to internest.

first there should be 2 cables connected the device.
1) power adapter
2) ethernet cable from either a dsl modem or a cable modem connected to the wan connector
with most cable modem service its usually dhcp meaning you are always connected to the internet
with some there is ppoe connection where a user name and password is used to make a connection to be on the internet with the dsl modem
there are some dsl companies that are dhcp just like the cable modem companies.
with the ethernet cable connected the wan port on your router there should be some kind of activity light on the router but check with the type connection from your dsl or cable internet provider. also you will need a second ethernet cable to connect your computer to setup and configure the wireless settings and wep protection.

I cannot connect to the internet with my linksys wireless router hooked up through my dsl modem. I also lost the installation disk. What can I do to resolve my problems?

DSL uses a ppoe account. Your DSL provider should have given you a router/dsl modem to connect to the internet, and then you can use another router to feed the house a wireless connection. The ppoe user name and password should be set up on one of these devices. If you don't know what your user name and password is, (I forgot mine a long time ago), you can contact your provider and have your password reset. Once this is done, you will either have to connect via wire to the device that should have your user name and password, and set it. Default IP address to get into this router is 192.168.1.1, type that into your address bar on your browser.

default user name and password are both admin, all lower case for both.

Once you get into the device then you can go into the setting and look for connection settings.

Here is the PDF for this router. Start looking at page 5 to learn how to set up a ppoe user and password.

I want ot know how i can manage my switch i want to connet 4 different network what is the user name and password for it

Most linksys switches and routers use a simple management interface which is accessable through internet explorer.
Open internet explorer and type this address into the address bar;
192.168.1.1
and yes, the periods are important.
When the access dialog box opens, type in the user as "admin"
type in the password as "admin"
this should get you in.
If the user or passwords have been changed then all you can do is to reset the switch or router back to factory defaults.
do this by using a pen to press and hold the reset switch inside the small hole on the back or base of the router or switch.
You need to hold the switch in for ten seconds.
The unit will reset and you can then access the management interface using the directions I gave you above..

All lights are active and green except for the internet light. This is the only red light. What can I do to fix this?

Call you ISP as your user ID and or password in the ppoe or settings was rejected or there DHCP server is down so check with your isp and see if there having issues there more the likely are if not unplug the modem and wait 30 secounds if you get the red light again and it does not change for more then 15 mins to 1 hour your DHCP on the isp end is down. You connetion to the Dslam and or ATM is working but the DHCP server that authencates you on the network via static or ppoe routes has been severed. You need to call them.. Unable to get wireless connection at a new location

Hi...

Verizon uses PPOE(point to point protocol over ethernet) and Comast does not use PPOE. Therefore she needs to get inside the router 168.192.1.1(user:admin & pdw: admin) to disable the "PPOE". Oh and also, the router needs to be hard wired to the computer for reconfiguration to take place...hope this helps
