I have a Miele convection microwave oven H 4080 BM. I suddenly stopped heating in the microwave mode but everything else is working. What could cause this - tried resetting but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Bosch convection microwave HMC87151UC does not heat in convection mode.

The issue you're experiencing with your Bosch convection microwave not heating in convection mode could be caused by a few different things. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Check the settings: Make sure that the microwave is set to convection mode and that the temperature and time settings are correct.
  2. Check the element: The bottom heating element is responsible for providing heat during convection mode. Make sure that the element is not damaged or burnt out. You can visually inspect it, if it is damaged it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the fan: The fan is responsible for circulating hot air during convection mode. Make sure that the fan is not blocked or damaged. If it is, it will need to be replaced.
  4. Check the control board: The control board is responsible for controlling the functions of the microwave. A malfunctioning control board could prevent the microwave from heating in convection mode.
  5. Check for a blown thermal fuse: A thermal fuse is a safety device that cuts off power to the oven if it overheats. If the thermal fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced.
  6. Check for a blown thermal cut-off: A thermal cut-off is a device that cuts off power to the oven if it overheats. If the thermal cut-off is blown, it will need to be replaced.

Model h4080 bm smoke and sparks come out of the circular cover? on the inside top of the oven compartment whats wrong and how to repair?

Hi,

The insulation on the wiring has broken down and the metal on the wires has come in contact with the metal frame of the oven...this causes the wires to short and throw sparks...
Remove the cover and repair/replace the wiring with wire that is rated for extremely high temperatures...
This often happens as a result of using the self clean feature on many ovens... the temperatures get too high and ruin the wiring...

This is probably not a job for the normal DIY'er....

I purchased a microwave/convect oven combo last week. Installed today, everything works fine except that the lower oven won't heat. I tried turning the breakers off waiting a few minutes and back on. ...

Ensure that the clock is set and that is not in auto mode, the clock is only linked to the main oven and therefore it will not opearte if the clock is not set correctly, all the best

How do you remove the door on a 4080 bm?

There are two metal clips at the bottom of the glass that hold the bottom of the glass in place- you can see these from the inside when the door is open and from the outside at the bottom of the door when the door is closed. There are two metal clips at the inside top of the door. You can see these when the door is open slightly inward from the "switch pins on each side.
Open the door. You will see 2 small (about 1/16") metal pieces about 1/2 " in from the 2 switch pins. CAUTION: WITH SOMEONE ELSE HOLDING THEIR HAND UNDER THE GLASS PANEL. Press the 2 metal pins in. Then slowly pull down on handle until the metal parts move down past the tiny opening on the black inner door. This glass is tempered and I can tell you from experience it will break in a million pieces if you are not careful tohold the glass.

It's delicate but very easy. Just be careful
