Negative image

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop.

LCD panel tv lots of white instead of color, like a negative photograph with all inputs

Parts are not exactly easy to find for this brand---I would Google the model number with parts to see what is available and at what cost---look for the main board

I got a samsung le32 tv i got sound but no picture can you help please

Hello,

Connect your TV to a DVD player. If there is still no picture, it means the display inverter of your TV is defective.

The display inverter is what makes the TV brings picture. Since the TV is no longer bringing any picture, the display inverter is the first thing that needs to be checked as it is most likely the cause of the problem.

Please give me feedback if you need any assistance in locating or identifying the display inverter.

The display has dimmed, and looks washed out (faded)

You most likely have a defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom:
  • Screen flashs on red/pink and off.
  • Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal.
  • Picture flickering with dim display.
  • Picture flickering on and off.
All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp

Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power it up, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight.

Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.
