I have the Sony Cybershot model as well and the button popped off. One slight problem, I live in Russia now and getting parts to repair it properly is virtually impossible. I have both the button and the spring. Any suggestions?

Use a tooth pick to fire the shutter temporarily until you can get the part - the button needs to be replaced. Insert a pointed object into the hole and it will shot when the shutter switch, which is a push button, is pressed. I think there are repair shops there who can fix the switch or button than using a tooth pick, that's better.

My Cybershot Camera vibrates everytime i take a picture.

Hi,
There are few Sony Cybershot models that vibrate in camera mode, lens mechanism is found defective for that problem. Local camera repair shop will look into lens mechanism and replace wither defective part or complete lens assembly (it depends on model number of camera) to solve the problem.
Thanks.

SONY CYBERSHOT DSC - H3 DIGITAL CAMERA FLASH PROBLEM

Hi Jim,
Have you tried resetting all settings on the camera? On a Sony camera, it is called "initialize". The initialize setting is found by going to the menu, and tabbing down until you find an option called either "reset settings" or "initialize settings" and then confirm it.
Many times that will fix the issue, in case something has either been enabled/disabled on accident, or the software is sticking (which happens from time to time)

Button popped off of my sony cybershot dsch5 need video of how to fix it

Hi!
This is a well known problem with H2 and H5 - the buttons brake. Sorry, they are not fixable, only replacable. You should contact your local Sony service center and ask them if it can be repaired for free or for a half price at least, as it's a factory problem and they know it.
I work in a Sony service center.

Hope this helps!

Hi!
This is a well known problem with H2 and H5. You should ask Sony if they could repair it for at least half price, as it's a factory problem. If not, I can offer you the button or change it for you for a very good price. My e-mail is [email protected]

Hope this helps!

Shutter button popped off sony cybershot dsc-h2

If you can do the repair yourself, you can buy either the complete shutter button assembly for about $40, or there is a repair kit available where you rebuild the broken button.

There is only ONE PLACE to buy the repair kit with instructions: DARNTOOTHYSAM com. Do a Google search for 'digital camera parts' and Darntoothysam is the first listing shown. Feel free to look elsewhere but you won't find the $20 repair kit anywhere else and on the Darntoothysam blog page there are instructions to tell you how to install it yourself.

If you don't want to try and install it, there is a repair package on Darntoothysam for only $50 that includes the part and installation plus return shipping of the camera to you!

Hope this helps.
