I do not have any heat, but the tumbler works. this is an electric dryer. i looked in the machine and it looks like it will not be easy to get at the element. i had and older dryer and the front came off very easily, but this one is a bugger. any help with steps to get at the element would be appriciated

may be the solonoid. mine did that to where the tumbler worked fine, but heat was really weak..$40.part and fairly easy fix

You probably need a new glide kit on front panel
Unplug it and pop the top to get into the machine and take a look see. This is the most simple of all dryers to repair. It uses glides on front for the tub to ride on and it uses a hanger bearing in the rear for the drum to ride on. The plastic cup that the drum is cradled in wears down to metal to metal and can actually be cut in half causing the drum to drop down and lock up. This dryer is very easy to work on. MORE HERE

Look for a faulty high limit due to excessive lint buildup in the machine. That or either the element is bad. very simple machine to repair. Huebsh electric? Better look at old style speed queen dryers for comparison. better yet Click THIS

You quite possibly have something like a penny or a paper clip stuck at the heat duct. ***First-shut off the electric to the dryer***. From behind the dryer, remove the heat tunnel and clean it out. You will be surprised how much lint gets past the filter. It's an easy repair, just a few screws. While you're back there, look around for any buildup in other areas.

The first thing to check is the drive belt. you will need to turn the dryer on its side and look to see if the drive belt is broken. If this is o.k it will be the motor.

first checkyour breaker it may not look like it is tripped but cut it off and on or maybe the thermo fuse or you element is bad you have to check proper voltage to parts

look at the rollers of the drum, it could have been dameged already and needs to be replaced.

try turning the drum by hand...is it jammed? if not, then: the motor will not turn due to a number of reasons: 1.) simply burned out copper windings 2.) switch not turning on motor or not turning on motor starting circuit-depending on design ...if jammed, then try to find the interference to turning
