Hello, I have had a 50" LG Plama TV (50PC3D) for about 10 months, but it just stopped working recently. What I can recall from the time that the Tv stopped working is that there were a few (very strong, by the way) lightening storms the day/ days before the event, and therefore I have the feeling that those thunderstorms just killed the TV. However, I had the TV plugged to a surge protector and it still says "Protected" and "grounded" and the other electronics that are also plugged to it (DVD player, Home Theater) are doing just fine.So I am not sure whether the problem was a malfunction or a consequence of the thunderstorms. Now, I want to get into detail about what happened to the TV: I turned off the TV normally. But, when I turned on the TV, the green light that usually blinks for a few seconds and is then preceded by the image of the TV continued to blink and the image of the TV didn't appear( it stays black). I was not able to even turn off the TV and I had to unplug the TV in order to turn off the TV and the blinking green light. I hope this description can be of any good for you to dignose this problem. Thank you.
TESO. maybe you tv got shocked by thunderstorm. if by cable connection mean " tuner need to change whole main bard called inverter circuit board. if by corrent way that mean to power supply unit part. you try to repair that power supply what happening. or replace back same power supply unit. good luck!
YOU PROBALY HAVE A BAD Y SUSTAIN BOARD OR POWER SUPPLY. POWER NEEDS TO BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE Y SUSTAIN AND THE VA & VS VOLTAGES CHECKED.

Our TV worked fine for a few months and then one day the remote stopped working. It was under warranty at the time and we had the designated repair guys come pick it up and they fixed it within about 2 weeks...it worked fine for about a year...and just today I turned it on and the green light kept blinking next to the IR sensor on the TV...the remote only works if I double-tap the button I want to hit. If I try to turn the volume up, it keeps going up and up until it maxes out and if I turn it down it keeps going down and down until it's at 0. I dunno if the warranty is still good...but it's jacked.
