Power problem with an LG 50PC3D Plasma 50" TV

Hello, I have had a 50" LG Plama TV (50PC3D) for about 10 months, but it just stopped working recently. What I can recall from the time that the Tv stopped working is that there were a few (very strong, by the way) lightening storms the day/ days before the event, and therefore I have the feeling that those thunderstorms just killed the TV. However, I had the TV plugged to a surge protector and it still says "Protected" and "grounded" and the other electronics that are also plugged to it (DVD player, Home Theater) are doing just fine.So I am not sure whether the problem was a malfunction or a consequence of the thunderstorms. Now, I want to get into detail about what happened to the TV: I turned off the TV normally. But, when I turned on the TV, the green light that usually blinks for a few seconds and is then preceded by the image of the TV continued to blink and the image of the TV didn't appear( it stays black). I was not able to even turn off the TV and I had to unplug the TV in order to turn off the TV and the blinking green light. I hope this description can be of any good for you to dignose this problem. Thank you.

Our TV worked fine for a few months and then one day the remote stopped working. It was under warranty at the time and we had the designated repair guys come pick it up and they fixed it within about 2 weeks...it worked fine for about a year...and just today I turned it on and the green light kept blinking next to the IR sensor on the TV...the remote only works if I double-tap the button I want to hit. If I try to turn the volume up, it keeps going up and up until it maxes out and if I turn it down it keeps going down and down until it's at 0. I dunno if the warranty is still good...but it's jacked.

Trying to connect my 50 inch 50PC3D plasma tv, to my playstation 3 using HDMI cable. The tv is giving me an invalid format, is there an explanation/solution to this?

The PS3 video resolution setting is too high for the TV to work, please see your PS3 user manual on how to lower the resolution to the native resolution of this TV.

My remote control stops working every few months or so, then starts working again. My warranty goes out this month. Just have a service call and the tech left me another remote, but I'm afraid this will...

The remote interface of the TV died on mine, it was intermittent then it stopped completely. Remote control is fine, it's the remote sensor in the TV itself.

LG Plama tv 50pc3d does not want to turn on.

Unplug power cord- safety first!
open backcover
check powersupply- top center right is p.s.
top left side of powersupply you'll see 5 capacitor 3300uF 10V.
see any pop up on top? replace it All with same rate or 16v is O.K.
do not use temperature rate 75c. Use 105C.
if you know how to solder. you could save $300 at least! Mahalo!

LG Plasma TV 50PC3D

The TV should be under warranty. Send back. Sounds like the panel is faulty (half the value of the set).
