You should use a HDMI cable. This cable will carry the audio and video from your Vision box to your plasma screen. Connect the cable to the HDMI port on the vision box and the other end to HDMI 1 on your TV. Once that is done turn on the vision box and then the TV and switch the TV to HDMI 1 using your tv remote and then once you have a picture use your vision box remote to change channels and perform other functions. Hi. We are trying to setup a phillips tv through a bt vision box please

  1. A TV aerial feed - The BT Vision box gets its digital TV signals over-the-air, so needs a TV aerial. This needs to be connected to the aerial input socket on the V-Box. There is an output RF aerial socket to allow you to connect an aerial feed to a TV if required.
  2. SCART lead - You need to make a connection from the Vision+ box to the TV using a SCART lead. If you have a HD TV set, you can also connect via an HDMI lead (not supplied).
  3. Connection to Broadband - You'll need to connect from the BT Vision+ box to a BT Broadband connection. This is done using the BT Home Hub. The Home Hub is the Broadband router supplied by BT, and it connects into to your phone line to give you Internet access-The most common way to make the connection, is to connect an Ethernet (networking) cable from the BT Vision+ box to one of the Ethernet ports on the Home Hub. If you can't make a direct connecting to the Home Hub, you can use powerline adapters to make the connection. The self-install kit includes two Powerline adapters to allow you to connect to the Home Hub if it's in a different room to the BT Vision+ Box.
  4. The BT Vision v-box has an additional scart socket, which can be connected to a video or dvd recorder.

No sound coming from TV....recently relocated and ran TV from cable box, have lost remote to TV and now cannot get sound to work...picture good just cant get sound?

I think you are muting the the remote before you relocated...you need a remote to un-mute the sound of your TV...this cannot be done using the volume control in your TV unless you have the remote...if you loss the remote...buy a universal remote control

Hi I bought a second hand fujitsu tv and Im trying to connect to bt vision because the connections are different i am using a pin to scart cable it works ok but there is no sound and the tv stays green , I...

I also have the same problem. I think maybe getting an electrician out is our best bet. The cables and connections are so confusing. Hopefully you manage to sort your tv out. It may be an s-video cable that you need. I think I may try that.

How do you connect bt vision to a sony bravia kdl 37v4000.I have it working ok on freeview only but the bt vision appears on analogue channel 6 and the vision remote changes the tele channel not the vision...

Sounds like you cant have set up the scart cables properly. Im unimpressed with BT for not setting it up for you, why didn't they?
Plus you will not need the freeview box if you have BT Vision, so i would take out the freeview box and just connect one end of the Scart lead into the back of the BT Vison box then put the other side of the lead to the Back of the TVs scart socket. Then all you need to do now if change the channel to AV1 OR AV2 or whatever channel you have.

BT VISION BOX

The Hard Reset you have been given is wrong, the one listed here is a Soft Reset, a Hard reset is done by unplugging the power cable and then on the V-box press and hold down arrow and ok buttons together while reconnecting power cable back in, the full software install should take 20 to 30mins depending on your b/band speed, you will also need to have a NEVOSS account setup for the v-box to register on the server (i'm a BT Vision Engineer)
