Some vacuums have a shutoff switch for then the dirt container gets full. Check that first. Empty or replace as needed and see if it runs again.

If it's still dead, take it back...

Page 7 shows after emptying the lower container, "Twist and lift to remove dirt container lid."

In your manual:

Visible dirt escaping from cleaner
Possible Causes: Remedies:
1) Dirt Container full 1) Empty Dirt Container
2) Filters missing or installed incorrectly 2) Check Upper Tank, Pre-Motor and Post-Motor
Filters for correct installation
3) Dirt Container installed incorrectly 3) Pull out and re-insert Dirt Container correctly

do you have the dial set to presoak ? Clean? or Rinse?
make sure the container for the soap is full and is popped into place correctly.

also... if the water canister is empty or the dirty water container is full it will stop sucking up the water :)

LOL.. not sure what it will not do.. but assuming it will not **** up the water ? make sure the dial is set to the correct setting. container for soap is full and correctly popped into place...
if the clean water resevoir is empty - it won;t **** up and if the dirty water resevoir is full it wont' **** up the water from the carpet... other than that... I don't know.

Actually Fixya does have the owners manual for your particular model downloaded to their site. Please see page 5 of the instruction manual that will explain how you can empty the dust container. Also instructions on basic maintenance in terms of the filter replacement, and belt changing. This is a very useful booklet to have.

Try letting unit cool. If container was full it may have overheated. Also should clean filters while cooling down. If this does not work then its time for the shop. Most likely the cord.
