Microsoft has a program that will run on your current PC. It will check & confirm if your system can handel Vista. It will also show you what is not compatible with Vista. It will check every piece of hardware including your board & even your printer if it's connected & turned on.
It's a must use program for people who are thinking of installing Vista.

Your board is a socket 775, also called Socket T or LGA775, is a Land Grid Array (LGA) socket used for the most recent generations of desktop Intel microprocessors starting from Pentium 4 and up to Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Extreme families. The socket LGA775 supports Intel CPUs from 1.8 to 3.8 GHz with Front-Side Bus frequencies ranging from 533 MHz to 1600 MHz.
Its up to you which type of processor you get but now you have the general idea.
Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

the model you have given is not the correct model Number. Please check the link below & see where it says " E2160" this is the model number for the Intel CPU. please chk on your CPU & let me know the model you have. also most intel motherboards will support most of the CPU's. anyhow if you can give me the CPU model i can recommend some intel motherboards.

Although not quite what you need, but you can find a comprehensive list of the type of processors that your board support from the link below:
Some further recommendations, the board is pretty old as it seems to fit Pentium 4 chips only. You may want to look at buying boards which suits a dual core at least.
