Locked out of my account

"Ymail," a division of Yahoo!, is not the same as the Yahoo! email service.
The main different revolves around the URL at the end of your email address.
Instead of "@yahoo.com" these addresses are written as "@ymail.com."
This slight variation might confuse you about how to log into your Ymail account.
The login instructions are similar to that of Yahoo! mail. Additionally, you can recover your ID or password if you have forgotten it.

Visit the Yahoo! login page by typing "ymail.com" into the URL bar.
This takes you to both the Yahoo! email sign in and the Ymail sign in.
Type your username into the "Yahoo! ID" box.
This is the part of your email address that comes before "@ymail.com."
Type in your password.
If your password doesn't work, or you don't remember it, choose the blue "I Can't Access My Account" from the bottom of the sign in box.
Choose the option that describes your situation best. Options include: "I Forgot My Password", "My Password Doesn't Work", "I Forgot My Yahoo! ID" and "My Account May Have Been Compromised". Press "Next."
Follow the on-screen directions to set a new password or recover your ID.

One of the drawbacks of free email services is that they're easy to forget you have an account. Yahoo! Mail is just one of those free email services.
Say a few months go by, you've turned your attentions elsewhere, but you remembered you have a Yahoo! account and you want to check your email.
But after you log in, it informs you that your Yahoo! Mail is no longer active. What do you do?

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account as usual.
A message will appear that says your account has been deactivated due to inactivity.
Reactivate your Yahoo! Mail by clicking on the "Reactivate Your Yahoo! Mail address" link that is located at the bottom of the page.
Sign into your account at least once a month to avoid automatic deactivation by Yahoo! in the future.

I cant remember my recently changed password and cannot answer any security questions, my email address is [email protected]

Your Yahoo ID is linked to a broad array of Yahoo services, from Yahoo Messenger to online games. A Yahoo ID must be deleted from a laptop or desktop, not a mobile device. Only get rid of your Yahoo ID if you're certain you'll never need it again, because there is no option to change your mind and get your ID back once it's gone.

Deleting a Yahoo ID
When you delete a Yahoo ID, you lose access to all programs associated with it, including Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Groups and Yahoo Finance Portfolio. Deleting your Yahoo ID will not remove your listing from the Yahoo People Search, however, so your profile will continue to appear in search results unless you delete your listing before deleting your ID. Lost Information b> When a Yahoo ID is removed from the system, Yahoo deletes all of the data associated with the account, including your email messages. You cannot recover this information once it is removed; creating a backup copy of your data on a computer or external storage device is the only way to preserve it for future reference. b> Reactivating Dormant Email As long has your Yahoo email has only gone dormant -- and not been deleted as the result of an ID termination -- you can reactivate the account. Yahoo automatically makes an email account dormant if the user hasn't signed in more than four consecutive months. To reactivate such an email account, you must sign in via computer using your Yahoo ID and password, and choose "Reactivate Without Account Protection." Yahoo permanently deletes old emails when an account is deactivated, but you can resume sending and receiving email once you reactivate the account. b> Considerations b> Some premium services are not cancelled along with a Yahoo ID deletion. If you signed up for a paid service, such as Yahoo Mail Plus, the company recommends manually canceling the service -- independent of your Yahoo ID deletion -- to avoid future bills. Canceling a Yahoo ID doesn't disqualify you from signing up again in the future with a new ID, but you cannot reactivate the same ID. Hope this helps.

Don't you have a substitute e-mail included when you registered for your Yahoo account? I usually put a substitute e-mail when signing up for new e-mail account so that I can send the password to my substitute e-mail.

How can i unlock my yahoo messenger account?

It seems some problem with your account.

I would suggest go to
http://mail.yahoo.com
Try to sign in and see what happens.

If you are able to sign in on the website and you can access your email box. It is clear that your account is fine.

If you are unable to sign in on the mail website and it gives the same error. Then just wait for 24 hours, it will be unlocked.
It is not your fault some time people try to break in to your account and account is locked due to security reasons.

I hope this helps you : )
