Hi All, Unable to scan over network by using IR2138 Copier. I have installed Network card on the copier, bt still the same problem. Please help me out. Do i need to install the driver for Networkcard which I installed on the machine? If so please let me know the link to download the drivers,bcoz it doesn't comes with driver CD.

Is the copier connected in the network or thru USB? Because Colour Network ScanGear is used when copiers are connected to the network.
If it is connected to the network, run Network ScanGear Tool and search for connected scanner in the network. Or you can use the IP Address of the copier to find it on the network.
Use 3rd party software or any other software that have scanning/import function (e.g. Photoshop).

you need a print system k... print card... and a scan system a card...call a kyocera dealer... they will also network it for you... for the price off those two you might be able to buy a km4035 with those two options installed and pay a local tech to network the copier...

try to add your printer so that you can scan, just click start of your computer then go to all program the add printer or scansoft then restart your pc to take effect

Can you print to your PC? if yes you know how to assign ip address to the copier. I suggest is to go web browser and type the ip adress of the copier. log in to adminstrator the password 12345678 click network scan you have choices which scanning you want. SMB, ftp scan to email. If choose SMB first you have create Folder to your desktop and name it SMB all upper case and right click sharing and permit everyone . Then back to copier web browser click tab scan and type all the names you want. Scan to e-mail you have to click network and enable the scan to email enter the SMTP leave the port 25 do not change assign a valid email address to copier and enter email address of the administrator user id and the last is the pasword. Note: everytime you visit this page you should enter the password. then click the scn tab and enter all your email address. enjoyprograming!!!

This machine can only scan across a network when the Sharp network box is installed and 512mb extra memory is installed in the copier

The copier/printer is connected to both computers through ethernet. While our "main" computer is our server, they are basically two linked computers not a big network kind of thing. The ethernet connects the printer to both computers but I can only print from one.

First question is do you have universal send on the copier. If you have a Send tab on the touch screen you have it, if you only have a scan tab you do not.

With the send tab you can set the device up to scan, create a file and send it to a network destination. With the scan button you have to install the color network scan gear program on your computer.

This software is just a twain driver that interfaces with the copier through the network. It does not give you any software to drive the scanner, it only gives you a choice for the copier in your list of scanners. You have to use some other program (i.e. Acrobat standard or MS document imaging) to drive. After you install it open it up, let it discover the machine on the netowrk and close it. The interface only points to the device on the wore, it is not directly used for scanning.

If you have a send button I would recommend for your situation that you scan to a shared folder on your desktop. First you create the shared folder, and make sure you can see it from another PC on the network. If your other PC's can't see it the copier won't either. Create a user on the computer with the shared folder for the copier to use. Set that users password to never expire.
Press the additional functions hard button
Press the touch screen button for address book
Add an address to address book # 1
The type of address will be SMB
Register a name for the address (Scan to PC is fine)
there should be a browse button on the screen, press it
Use the up and down arrow to browse up and down the tree
when you see your network browse from the domain to the PC you are scanning to
When you try to expand the PC you will have to enter in the user and password you created for scanning
point to the shared folder you will use
OK your way back out to the user screens

install BT using ether cable 1st, then unplug and u will be able to use ur wireless card.

give the same class ip address to your printe and computer and install ms office soft ware, and then microsoft tools click that we find the microsoft document scanning create shortcut to the desktop.
ping the printer for computer
run the network scan gear and click on the ip, enter the ip address in the blocks and then the discover.
then scan the document for the ir 3300 scanner.
