My printer was working perfect. I was printing paper and when i went to print another document the printer read," Remove and check right cartridge". I did this. I cleaned it, checked for blockage, and still nothing. I was reading some forums and it said it might be the firmware. I believe if it was out of ink the printer would say something along those lines. It also sounds like there is ink in the cartridge, so it cant be that. What should i do?

I have a canon MF 8350 cdn and when i try to print certain documents such as pdfs or excel sheets the printer prints out a couple pages then gives the error "check paper size" even though it is...

Check paper size refers to the fact your documents are for say and A4 sheet of paper but your drivers properties are set to letter size. Go into the drivers printing preferences and set the paper size to the correct value. All should work fine now.

Printer will not print a wordperfect document.

Try a test page when you set up your printer. If that works,
Try going to File, page setup and choosing a paper size and type there that matches the new printer. Make sure your printer is the default one or that you pick it in the drop down menu on the print menu after you choose print. .
Make sure your paper matches the document's paper

Printer says to re-insert paper face down.

You must have the default printer settings changed to "double-sided" printingor "print on Both sides".
Check in your printer properties: 'Right click' the printer icon. Select "properties", "Printing preferences", "finishing", un-check "print on both sides" (these options vary slightly by printer model, so just check around on the different buttons).
That's my best guess. :)

Epson Stylus C66 inkjet Printer does not print !

Have you tried a cleaning cycle? If not, try one. Now run a nozzle check using the status monitor (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select nozzle check). Is there any sign of ink on the paper. Try up to three cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles. Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print. If these actions produce no positive results, report back.

Oki C9300 - paper keeps jamming in the 2 same places, reads either 383 paper jam or non paper sense error. All drums and tonners are new, paper is loaded.

your getting a 383 paper jam, find paper in two different places.
See if it's a duplex related problem. print single sided documents, if that works, try printing two sided documents (it'll be the duplexer) if it only fails while printing duplex.

Also, check the back door. Make sure the back exit tray is closed all the way.

You can also have a paper jam in the duplex unit (open the front door), the duplex unit slides out the front. You can easily remove the duplex unit and run the printer without it.

Paper Size Error

Hi there check that the printer properties have not been changed.

  • Click Start
  • Select Printers and Faxes
  • Right hand click on printer icon
  • Select Printing preferences
  • Check that the paper size matches that you have got in the tray
  • OK and exit and test
If the above doesn't work try the following

  • Open MS Word
  • Open the document that you are having problems with
  • Click File
  • Select Page Setup
  • Check that Paper Size is correct
  • OK close and test.
This is normally a driver issue as the paper tray on the printer doesn't know what size paper is in it until you tell it from the driver.

Hope this works for you
Thanks J
