Go to WWW.CRUCIAL.COM and run their SCAN MY COMPUTER option.

This utility will tell you exactly:

How much RAM you currently have in your system.
What type it is and what configuration it is in.
How much room you have left on your motherboard to add more.
What size and type to buy to maximize the performance of your machine.

You can install ithe new RAM sticks yourself fairly easily if you do get some.
You just have to first unscrew and pull open the side panel of the computer case.
Then insert the new RAM stick into an empty memory slot on the motherboard and lock it into place with the little palstic clips.

Just comment back here on this page if you require further assistance.

Good luck and please don't forget to click on the 4 Thumbs Up rating icon if this was helpful.

Thank you.

Does anybody have the specs for the Dell 03C6YH motherboard please

Michael Bowry,
I will need to know which computer system you have in order to view the specs of the motherboard. My database does not provide that information. I can only see the specs of the motherboard only with the system model.
Thank You,

Hp says maximum memory is 2 x 512, yet memorystock and other sellers say I can go up to 2 x 1 gig. Is this safe?

If the computer is a model a710n, the motherboard will take up to 2 GB of RAM. Full motherboard specs are here, and they'll tell you everything you need to know to get compatible memory.

I want to increase ram, what do I get

First, you have to find out the max of ram that you can add to your pc. Then go to the website crucial.com and run a test where it will tell you what memory and how much you can add. If you decide to purchase the memory and after you recieved , open the case and locate the empty slop where the memory is going to be install. It should be the small slots not the white big ones. Then carefully open the case from the memory and then put i on the slot of the pc. Turn the pc on and then see if it recognize it

Not all memory is created equal. for example, i purchased some high end gaming memory that matched my system specs only to find out it ran at a higher voltage than my motherboard would supply. Post again if you need more help ..
