Hello, I would like to know whats really the cause of this error!
I just recently turn my pc on for 2-3 hours and download a files,
and then I play songs mp3, then I just leave my pc for 5-mins the PC
hang! and the song keeps repeating, and with windows desktop garbage
display.
I cant seems to understand why is this happening, though it is tested for me for 2 months that this pc has never had a problem.
I actually made some changes on my drivers.
- Uninstall and replaced the cd vga driver to whql nvidia driver to the latest one from nvidia.com
- Uninstall the cd audio driver and replaced with the latest driver from asus
- Just unistall the cool and quite driver because my pc would shutdown when
playing games and cool & quite was then disabled in bios and so as to QFan.
I just dont know whats the cause of this error. Btw, I have a
builtin nvidia chipset Geforce 6100-nforce 430 and the WHQL driver I
downloaded is 6150SE nforce 430 and thats what I have used recently.
Since, when playing movies it actually no problema and playing games
but only today when I play mp3 using and download files.
heres my PC specs:
M2N-MX SE plus with builtin A/V/L
AM2 4800+ X2 Dualcore
2 X 1 GB Kingston PC800
Generic 500W PSU and Casing
One intake side panel fan (generic)

I am only using the onboard video w/c is geforce 6100 nforce 430 chipsets. I already reformat the windows xp and loaded the CD driver that came together the mobo and still no problem.
I just want to know whats the cause, can drivers cause the problem? In nvidia there is no Geforce 6100 nforce 430 BUT there is Geforce6150SE nforce 430 and I already downloaded that thought that its the driver but when I am using it for 2-3 days it hangs and problem occur...but I am not so sure if thats the cause. Pls help me troubleshoot w/c is the problem.
Mobo chipsets or processor is defective?
I already tested the processor and it has no problem. I still dont know if the mobo is the fault. For 2 months of use I never had a problem like this.
