Toto Toilets ST784S 12 Sedona Beige Clayton Toilet with Traditional SoftClo Logo
Posted on Mar 02, 2011

I need to remove the handle of my new clayton toilet to put an oil-rubbed bronze handle. I was able to easily unscrew the handle. I am now having a hard time trying to remove the base of the handle. There is a u-shaped golden bolt holding it in place in the back and it is very tight. I do not wan to break anything and i am not sure of how to proceed...

The best way i found it to use large pair of pliers on each side and turn, almost all nuts on the handle will turn the opposite direction to remove. I have even sprayed PB spray on them to help loosen. This should work for you no problem.

Hansgrohe 06358620 shower not hot enough

Remove the handle by loosening the screw near the bottom. You should see a plastic ring, probably green, that is the hot water safety. Adjust it so that the handle will turn further for more hot water. It most likely pulls out, then turn it left, reinsert and reattach the handle.

Oil

That is all depending on your car. If it says in the owners manual or you find the specifications online. By all means go for it if you see that your vehicle accepts 15w oil. Since I have no clue as to what type of vehicle you have then that's as far as I can help.

Pump makes loud noise when filling

Unplug the machine first.
The pump is on the bottom right front of the machine. No tools are needed to remove it. There is a little locking tab that you have to lift with one finger while you twist with the other hand. There is a ground wire and a plug with two wires attached to the pump unit. Unplug and you have the pump and motor in hand.

The pump impeller unscrews easily from the shaft. Hold the motor armature with one hand and unscrew the impeller with the other. Look for debris wrapped around the pump shaft.

You can do one of two things next. Put a few drops of oil on each of the bronze bushings holding the pump shaft, put the impeller back on and put the pump back into the machine and you should be good to go.

OR, there are two screws on the back of the pump body, that when removed allows you to take the armature out of the motor. You can then clean the shaft thoroughly and clean the bronze bushings with a Q tip. Put a little dab of grease on all of the moving parts and reassemble.

I did all of this in 30 minutes and my machine is perfectly quiet.
