Most likely, you have a faulty fan. The best thing to do is to get a replacement fan and install it. With UPS Systems such as these, the fan is usually user serviceable. Consult your manual for more information.

Motor smokes when i plug in my vornado box fan after i bypassed a faulty switch ?

A smoking fan motor implies that there is a winding short circuit. Best to discard the fan and buy new rather than taking a chance on a possible fire hazard. Good luck!

Sqeaky fan rotation

Try oiling the pull bearings. If you can determine that the noise is in the motor, try nelsonappliance.com. They have replacement motors for your fan for less than $20.
