Zenith L20V34S Completely DEAD Zenith LCD flat screen 20in Model: L20V34S Manufactered: Oct 2005 Listed HealthCare Facility TV Hello all, TV wont turn on (no red light either)after turning it off from the night before. Heres what i've tried: WHEN AS IS -Checked to make sure on/off switch on rear of TV was indeed "on". -Tried using the remote and the actual TV "on" buttons. -Checked of course all my outlets and made sure it had power and had good connections. -Used voltmeter to check to see if short in power cord. WHEN OPENED UP: -Used voltmeter to check resistance from all wiring harnesses starting from power cord plug in to rear power switch. -Checked for any "burnt" looking pieces. -Tried to locate fuse but cant seem to find one. Any suggestions?

The power supply is responsible for 90% of failures on this model.
Symptom 1
TV cannot be turned on. It will act as if it is completly dead.
Repair
Replace capacitors C5 and C6, rated at 47uf@35V, 105c, on power supply board. Shield on bottom of PS must be removed first. These caps are small and are located in the middle of the PS up against a heatsink. Select caps that will fit in this small space.
Symptom 2
TV will power up but when the screen comes on it will only flash on for a moment then go dark. Powering off and on will only produce the same flash for a moment.
Repair
Replace C14 and C15, 2200uf@16V, 105c, These filter caps are located near the output connector. When these caps become degraded the inverter board startup current is more than the PS can provide. It is recommended that all four of these caps be replaced at the same time since its very likly they have all become degraded. Don't forget to replace shield.

The tv now is completely dead,no LED power light indication at all?Yes,than the tv power supply board 90-95% it is alway the problems and the causes.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
