Is the battery installed in correct polarity? If so- try rotate it in position to rub through potential corrosion.
Since it has a remote battery, it would not hurt to look at the installation to make sure no wires are broken. Especially the ground wire to the pickup.
It might also be a good idea to apply some contact cleaner to the output plug since it is in the power circuit. Cycle the plug in and out a few times to clean the contacts. Also some contact cleaner to the preamp controls would be useful.
Be aware some lubricants may contain silicone and that can interfere with wood finishes or repairs to the finish in the future.
First open your mobile phone camera and point to the LED on the top of your remote and when you press any key if the remote power works you can see a blink light on your phone screen if not check the power of your remote good luck

You may need a new battery. There is an issue with Harmony One remotes where if you leave it on the charger too much, the plastic casing of the battery can expand and cause issues with the remote not getting power. I had this issue happen to my Harmony One, and I called Logitech and they replaced the remote.
Even if that is not the issue, you can buy a new battery to see if that helps. You can get a battery by calling their sales line which is 1-800-231-7717.

Hi the first thing I would recommend is to change the batteries of the remote control you are using.
If that doesn't work make sure the remote is in range of tv or set top box.

does the remote have a aspect button? or maybe it is in the menu? If not let me know and I'll look it up. I have worked on some of these but dont remember them being wide screen
Update the firmware:
- Launch the software.
- Connect the remote.
- Click "Downloads"
- Click "Firmware."
- Update the remote.
That will get the remote out of safe mode.
