It is more likely the bracket that holds the drum to the spindle - oftewn called a 'spider'. This has three or four 'legs' - if you look at the back of the drum you will see the indentations in a star pattern. One or more 'legs' has probably broken and so the drum is no longer able to spin centrally. The spider can be replaced by a washing machine repair engineer. Do not continue to use the machine unitl it is repaired because a loose drum will cause additional damage (mine wore through the heating element).

Servis 1200 very noisy in spin modes. Inner drum seems to be very loose and wobbly. Noise sounds like a roller with flat spots running on the drum, or a very bad (failed) bearing. Machine is 12 years old,...

the bearings have gone, if the drum can be split, remove complete drum and replace bearings, if you dont think its something you can do, dont attempt it, but to be honest, its realitivly easy

Machine noiser than it use to be when tub spins

From the front of the washer, spin drum by hand, and if it feels rough or is noisy, then the main drum bearings are probably worn.
Another possibility is the motor bearings noisy, or a worn armature.
If the noise is gradually getting worse, then I think it is safe to say it is the main bearings.

When my zanussi aquacycle 1200xc is on the fast spin cycle the spinning drum seems to be getting noisier of late.

Probably the main bearings are going, spin the drum by hand, there should be little or no noise at all, if it feels rough, or noisy, then bearings are failing.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Noisy Servis M9503S

Hi.

Remve the belt, and turn the drum by hand, if it sounds rough or is noisy, then yes the main drum bearings have failed.

It is a DIY job , but can be expensive, probably cheaper to buy new washer if it is more than 3 or 4 years old.

Indesit widl 126-problem with the drum, moving back and forth to much and noisy.

It would seem that the bearings go on this model, which causes the inner drum to knock and bang against the outer during spin. If you continue to use the machine without replacing both sets of bearings, it will cause irreparable damage and the machine will need to be replaced.

Wm noisy

drum bearings, check and investigate, remove drive belt and then rotate, if still noisy then yes its the drum bearings, if the noise stops when the belt removed the motor bearings are faulty costly repair on most models, sorry oh there is also the possibility there is something lodged within the drum cavity between the lining and the drum casing
