I have a Foxconn 590 sli motherboard w/ a Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX graphics card. My original problem was not booting properly(no display to monitor, fans/lights come on normally). The motherboard gave a code FF which I have found means it is functioning properly, it also issued a long beep followed by three short beeps, which I determined was a graphics card issue. I removed the graphics card and reseated it, but now the motherboard doesn't give any kind of led code or beep code and won't shut down w/o the power cord being pulled. Any ideas? I'm thinking motherboard, but I don't know much at all about hardware.

That makes sense, but I've had the same setup for the last 4 years and it's just now giving me these issues. I was leaning towards the motherboard going out, but I figured I better ask before replacing random components. Thanks for the assist though!

I want to use two Graphics card in single motherboard

Not on this motherboard, and not with two different video cards. Your motherboard does have two PCI-E slots at x1 speed, but only one slot at x16 speed. And when you use SLI you should use two identical video cards for best results.

Graphics card problem

I have the 9600 GT - great card. You have to plug a 6 pin power supply directly into card (on the right hand side when it's installed), it can go AGP or PCI express, but PCI is better. Also NVidia released a new driver for it yesterday (nov 20th) which fixed some bugs in mine (dreamscene WAS a problem for the old drivers), so get that from the Nvidia site- support tab (driver is version 180.48). Also, if the card is allowing you OS to boot it should be fine (if no boot, you prob need to get newer mobo). Uninstall your old drivers, run a reg cleaner, driver cleaner, manually delete c:\nvidia, non-windows defrag and chdsk.....If thats no help to you then I suggest you directly ask beni-muer or world-vet, they are absolutely 1000 more times knowledgable than me when it comes to these probs.. GOOD LUCK.

GeForce 8800GTX and ASUS M2N-E motherboard compatability?

Yes, the GeForce 8800GTX will work with your motherboard. And yes, it ought to make your video a bit snappier, too. Given what it sounds like you're doing, I'd go with the 8800GT, with 512mb of RAM. XFX makes one with that setup, and it should only set you back about a hundred bucks. Also bear in mind that insufficient system RAM will also slow down screen changes.

Cheers
