Unfortunately on your model the flashing H means there's an electrical fault which needs repair.

In practice, it's an old obsolete model and few spare parts will be available. Any kind of professional repair will cost far more than the camera is worth. But as almost all 35mm compacts are now virtually worthless it means that you can get fantastic models for free or very cheap. All of mine have come for free via FreeCycle, Freegle, and by just asking people I know as most have unused and unwanted cameras lying around. Even the superb and very under-rated Canon Sureshot Classic 120 which has one of the sharpest lenses ever put onto a 35mm compact can be had for zilch as the batteries cost more than the camera is worth (new batteries: about £10).

Sorry this is not the answer you hoped for, but I hope that it enables you to fix the problem in a different way at almost no cost.

Does it take batteries?

please tell me what camera that you have and i will try and help but the general rule if its a digital camera then it will need batteries if its a old film camera it still may need batteries for the flash/film winding etc.

I took a roll of pictures but the film came out blank. What did I do wrong? or what could be wrong w/the camera?

Please say what model of camera you're using.

You may not have loaded the film properly so that it wasn't wound forward after each exposure. Sometimes the film leader isn't picked up by the wind-on mechanism. Check the frame indicator moves as you wind the film on. Also operate the shutter without film and with the back open. You should see a flash of light through the lens if the shutter operates.

I put the film in the camera, turned on the camera, and the camera will not wind the film. The screen flashes "Err"...I don't know how to solve this.

Just do reset first by taking the battery for 3 hours,if reset button is not available. Then after 3 hours put it back again and see what is the result. If reset does not fix then camera has an internal problem. There are two common problem if the film will not wind . First is the gear is damaged already that can't drive the film and secondly the motor is faulty already.

Good luck:

I loaded the film but display window shows a flashing zero

Go ahead and try anyway. A ruined film is far cheaper than a useless camera or a professional repair. In any case, if the film hasn't loaded properly it will only be the first short length of film which is ruined. As this is a newly loaded film you haven't any risk of losing any undeveloped photos.

Auto spooling film systems are great when they work, but sometimes are a real pain and some cameras seem really picky about having a film leader of precisely the right length. See if you can engage the the film onto the spool manually.

Wind film?

Behind the LCD screen on the back of the camera, is a a gray button marked "R", and a gray slide switch to the immediate left of that.

Press and hold the R button, while sliding the switch to the left, this can be easily done with one thumb. the display will blink 0 and the motor will stop when rewinding is complete.

Camera not working-please help

No promises but if you take a roll of film that is already light fogged etc. and load it into the camera. Let it wind as normal. Now we need to work quickly: Press the rewind button. While it is winding OPEN THE BACK. It won't rewind very long because very little film is out of the cartridge so be ready. This will fogged a bit of the film but it does seem to clear the error. You can still shoot the roll if you just skip the first few shots.
