Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Want to make sure your drivers are in place and no errors have occurred? Simply click start right click on my computer select properties then select device manager scroll to Display Adapters and click on the small "+" you should see the model of your PCI Express graphic card there. If there is a problem with it, a yellow exclamation mark should appear besides it. If you don't see it everything is OK and your card is working properly. Hope this helps don't forget to vote

I dont believe that laptop has an HDMI port on it. If you have an LCD TV then your TV may have a VGA or DVI input on it. You can connect your laptop to the TV by using a VGA to VGA or VGA to DVI cable. If you your TV doesn't have one of these input ports, then you're not going to get your laptop connected to your TV.

Dvi to vga
You will not benefit from the DVI input unless you have DVI output on your computer. The great advantage of DVI is that the picture is transferred in digital form all the way from your computer to the individual pixels on the monitor. If you only have VGA output on your computer then you will never get a better picture than by using a good quality VGA cable to link that to the VGA input on your monitor.

The DVI plug is designed to carry both digital and analogue (VGA) signals on the various pins, so "adaptors" exist to allow a VGA monitor to attach to a DVI output on a computer. Monitors may also support VGA input from their corresponding DVI input sockets, but the picture quality will never be better than by using a good VGA cable because it is still not using the digital capability of the DVI interface. What's more, because you may need more adaptors and thinner conductors in the cable, you will probably achieve a marginally poorer picture than with VGA to VGA.

When you next buy a PC or a new video card, get one with DVI to take advantage of your new monitor. In the meantime, your best bet is a quality VGA to VGA link.

  • This is the VGA out: ebc4b94.jpg
  • And this is the connection for VGA comes from monitor: c99e5d1.jpg
  • Now if your VGA - Out is mounted on your motherboard then you have on-board VGA card.
  • If it VGA - Out comes from a PCI card like dffb048.jpg
  • means you have PCI VGA card.
Now if you want to use another PCI card just remove the one which you are using and use another one. Use only one PCI card for VGA, need not to use more than PCI VGA card at a time.
