Sudden silence on a digital feed is loss of usable signal.

Is it ONLY on Line #1? What happens if you switch it to #2?

Since it's optical, you have to be careful routing the cable with no small-radius bends as they cause signal loss. Or the cable itself could be the problem. Try another one. Or HDMI.

Just got docking station have video but no sound

try going to Menu->Settings->Sound. Go to Audio Output and try switching between Analog Line Out and SPDIF. I too had this problem and it scared me. But after playing around with the settings, I found this solution. All the best

Have a beautiful picture but no sound

your problem is in sound section only. 1 signal line for sound coming from vif section 2 supply to audio section. 3 component fail in audio output section. 4 loose contact in audio section 5 speakr & its connecting wire.
