Make sure your resolution is set to the native resolution of the monitor. In this case, 1280x1024

SOURCE: auto adjust

Hi,
In case you have connected both the DVI and VGA cables to the back monitor can cause this problem. Try unplugging one of the cables and check if the problem gets resolved

Check your refresh rate in your display driver properties. Try changing it to one of the available selections other than to what it's currently set to. It could be that the monitor is trying to match the signal received but can't quiet do it correctly.

SOURCE: Auto Adjustment keeps turning on every few seconds

I have had the same problem and now suspect that cleaning fluid from when I cleaned the screen may have seeped in. After a number of things I did over a period of 2 weeks the problem went away completely.

1. You may be able, if that is your problem, solve it quicker with a hair dryer at a distance (no melt down!)
2. Run HP diagnostics and clean the registry
3. Re- install drivers

Like I said I think 1 is the most likely. I went from every couple of seconds to completely solved.

Another possibility is that an MS update may have caused the problem and then another solved it.

SOURCE: computer monitor keeps auto adjusting screen

I don't know if this solution is credible to all monitors with this problem.... but have a gateway monitor and it kept doing that annoying "auto processing" flash while i worked...but i figured it out...for some wild reason i held down both the "auto" button and "contrast down" button and it fixed it. it will take a couple of tries but on a lucky push I did it and it went away and i havent had a problem since...I hope i have been a little help :)

Auto adjust in progress

1. Push the menu button at the front side of your Dell monitor. The icon looks look like a miniature version of your monitor.

2. Push the menu button again. This will exit the monitor menu and launch the OSD (On-Screen Display) menu.

3. Use the down arrow button on your monitor to select "Factory Reset."

4. Push the menu button.

5. Use the down arrow button to select "All Settings." Press the menu button to save changes.

6. Push the menu button twice to exit from the menu. Your Dell monitor will go back to its factory settings default, and its auto-detect feature will be disabled.

Auto adjustment in progress keeps popping up

Try turning down the brightness on the monitor, sometimes this will fix the issue, if not the problem is in the inverter board and needs a professional to assess it further.

Why does the monitor keep "Adjusting" and how do I

In the setup Menu you probably have the auto adjust enabled.
go into the setup menu and locate the screen adjustments disable the auto adjust and see if that fixes your problem, if it doesnot call the Manufacturer technical rep. and ask them, it might need repair.
good luck...

Auto Adjusting in progress keeps popping up?

Might be a loose connection, a bad cable, or a bad video card. I'd try the monitor on a different computer--even a laptop. Should give you an answer as to what's wrong. With the laptop, reboot it with the video cable attached.

Display problem

the adjustment box for colour, brightness and contrast stays fixed on the screen. i tried pressing the exit button.... after a few times it disappears only to reappear within a few minutes. also the auto adjustment option, for which we are supposed to manually press the i button, keeps auto adjusting the screen whenever it feels like it. the box appears right in middle of the screen and is a real nuisance as it blocks out the main portion.
