The MTX Thunder 6000 T61544A is a 15" Subwoofer meaning you will need a 15" hole to fit the subwoofer into. The mounting plate that surrounds the subwoofer will extend past 15" allowing you to screw the sub in properly. Be sure to use a box that is at least 12 inches deep (sub is 10 inches deep by specifications + 2 inches for good air cushion behind.

    oops i goofed its specified at 6.6 inches deep so your subwoofer box needs to be atleast 9 inches in depth.

    The MTX Thunder 6000 T61544A is indeed a 15 Inch Subwoofer...15 Inches is the diamater of the woofer,however the size of the cutout you will need to make in the box is actually 13 7/8 Inch.

I have a hole in my Kenwood is it fixable ?

Depends on where it is but if it is in the middle of the cone, you can use a light weight plastis and glue it over the hole or if it is a really small hole, a piece of tape o. The backside and some epoxy or jbweld on top. The tape just keeps it from leak in g thri ugh while the glue dries

How to bridge a 12 mtx thunder 6000 at the speaker

I assume that the sub is a dual 4 ohm and you want a 2 ohm load. It's easy. Just make sure that both positives go to the same positive source and both negative go to the same negative source. It's called a parralel set up. hope this helps

What is Positive and what is Negative

Hi Mason.
Are the positions colour coded in any way?
Red = Positive
Black = Negative
I've looked at some photo's from the website and at a guess I would say that yours are the push on crimp types, so no colour markings.
Have a look at the pdf wiring diagram they supply here as it may shed some light on things:
MTX Thunder US-XT12-44
I've looked over loads of forums but none seem to mention the wiring of these subs.
Understandably you want to get this right as they are a very nice set of subs when they're up and running.
If all else fails try looking at the MTX contact list and ringing one of their supported dealers for more info.

When i plug the phonejack style bass controller in all the bass quits and as soon as i unplug it the bass come back instantly. also, next to the spot where you plug the bass controller to the amp there is...

I am guessing the bass control is just a potentiometer that you plug in. It could be open and that is why the bass dies. As far as the switch goes, I am not familiar with the amp but it sounds like a crossover between low frequency and subsonic frequency.
