Hello,

You can manually unlock it. Unplug washer. On the lower panel there are 3 screws, either 1/4 inch or they are the hex bit. Remove these screws and the panel will come off. Reach up on the inside on the right side. You will be able to feel the door lock mechanism, near the bottom of the mechanism is a pull release lever, pull down on it and the door will unlock. The door lock may need to be replaced. I hope this helps

WHIRLPOOL FRONT LOAD DOOR LOCK IS STUCK IN

try pushing in the door at the same time as you try to unlock it?
you could try giving the side of the washer a good hard slap? that some times jolts it into working,, but at the end of the day its a repair mans job to sort it out unless you realy wont to take the top off and pull on the cable to unlock the door>

When I wash comforter in whirlpool duet front load water comes

first an foremost your washer isn't designed to wash comforters, the capacity isn't large enough. only clothes sheets . the reason ur door wont stay closed is the bulk item is pushing it open. overloading washer will cause $$ major problems. simiply take that to the cleaners an save urself some big bucks.

Whirlpool duet washer door is open. I can't close it because the latch is stuck in the "locked" position.

The first thing to try is to hold the cancel button for 15 seconds. The more labor intensive solution is this: Remove the panel beneath the door (2 or 3 screws). Reach up, there is a little "ring" beneath the door lock. Pull this down, it releases the mechanism.

Fills on its own door open or closed

I would bet the water inlet valve is weeping. It may not seal shut every time. It could have a piece of rest stuck in it also. It's cheap and easy to replace. The part # AP3128776.

F dL symbol on Whirlpool duet HT

It is saying there is a problem with your door Lock. when you close the door does it hold like it use too? try to open and close the door if it doesn't really close properly then you will just need a door latch. If the machine gives you an f11 code then its the main computer board that can also give your the door lock error. I would check the door first though.

Whirlpool duet front-load

Sounds like you have done everything right. Is the door closed firmly? Did you hold the pus to start button long enough?
