If it is an analogue channel then try fine tuning or manual tuning that channel.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

Sounds like your secondary audio or SAP has gotten turned on by accident. Look on your remote and see if there is a button called SAP. If so press it until the screen shows "stereo".

Some TV's have it located in the internal menus of the TV usually under the "AUDIO" or "SETUP" sub-menu.

If you still can not find it repost again with the TV manufacturer and the model number and ask how to turn off the secondary audio.

Good Luck,
Robert

No sound on some channels (which previously had sound); some channels still have sound

It seems that the "Lang" button on the remote may be pressed by mistake. Try setting the language to English and see if all the channels now broadcast sound.

No sound on on only one channel

Are you sure this channel broad cast has sound. Please conform with some other TV. If your TV is having sound in all the other channels there is no reason for no sound in one particular channel.

SOunds shut "off" when changing from HD channel to non-HD channel.

I think you need to look at the sound settings. In particular the type of sound. HD channels often carry AAC sound, suitable for Dolby 5.1 and Standard Channels don't. So the sound system will switch modes when you change channels. However the receiver is not switching back to picking up PCM signals, the type used on SD channels.

You would need to ask the broadcaster of the stations that question.

The SAP feature has been turned on. Look for a button that says SAP or go thru the audio menu and turn it off.

With my starview 3 all of sudden my sound is distorted

To get back sound channels ect just select the channel in question press menu,
select installation, select manual scan, click ok on down frequency.
It'll now scan for channels when its finished exit back to normal
tv viewing screen go to the end of your channel listing and the desired channel will be there with sound.
This can be done on any channel with no sound by just selecting that channel following the instructions above.
Hope this helps

Low sound on my Vizio 50" plasma

Most of HD channel broadcast in 5.1 channel sound. Regular channel broadcast in 2.0 channel sound. You TV only have 2 speakers so you will expect the sound will be low compare with the regular channel.

Hope this will help!

Center Channel not working on pioneer vsx-d608

Be sure the sound source has a center channel output ie. not a 2 channel source only, try the test tone setup for 5 or 6 channel balance, if no sound from the center channel still then it is looking like maybe the center channel is blown.

It worked fine yesterday. Sound on all channels. Sometimes the picture goes black on channel 6. We can get it back by going up one channel, then back to 6. it is due to cable signal ie weak. now there is no sound this is due to sound section 1 loose connect in sound section 2 speaker 3 problem in sound section some part must have failed.
