The highest the selected resolution, the slowest is the scanning. Lower the resolution to 200 or 150dpi.

OS Maverick very slow after time capsule backup

Use the App "Activity Monitor" to see what process is driving hard. if not already open: open the activity monitor window. Click the CPU% tab and show highest percentages at the top (should be an upside down triangle) may have to click the CPU% twice to do this. now the Activity monitor is showing you what processes are eating up your computers power. Google the process/es . It may be indexing the drive, which can take a long time. there are other processes too, that you should just let it do. once they are done, then things should be good. Such is the case for me when I upgraded to Mavericks.

Why is the motor of my sears kenmore sewing machine model 385.12714 running really slow? The machine has not been used for at least a year or two. We oiled it. It is sewing, but at a snail's pace.

it could be different things
have you checked to make sure the plug is correctly in the machine
one time I was sewing on my necchi electronic machine & it for some reason was going slow like you mentioned & so I started checking different thing & found the cord to the foot pedal was laying in side the foot pedal & it couldn't go any faster untill I moved the cord out of the way
it could also be the motor
& also the power cord & foot pedal
it's possible it needs to be serviced since it's been sitting up so long & since it's sewing at a snails pace

Why does my printer prints a few pages and it slows down to a snail pace

The cause and solution may include one or more of the following:
  • The print head temperature is too high. Make sure the printer is not placed in direct sunlight or is not operating in a high-temperature environment.
  • Cooling vents are blocked or dirty. Check the cooling vents and clear any dirt or obstructions.
  • There are too many applications running on your computer. Close unnecessary software applications.
  • The computer is not running efficiently. Consider upgrading your computer to meet the recommended system requirements.

NOTE: When printing a large number of prints, printing may slow down to prevent the print head from overheating.
See your printer user,s guide for more information.

Blade slows down when grass gets thick

Hello,

The reason the blade slows down when the grass gets thick is simply because the mechanism operating the blade is weak and cannot move fast when on thick grass.

I suggest you troubleshoot the mower. After that, the blade should work fine when the grass gets thick.

Also, some mowers normally gets slow when grass gets thick, so after troubleshooting, if the mower does the same, then you already know it has to be slow when trying to cut thick grasses.

Take care

My hp 6110 printer is printing at the pace of a cripppled snail.

What resolution are you printing at? There is a setting on the printer itself that you can hit for instant copies or when you select print setup from the computer, go to the printer preferences and you can set the quality of the print from that window.
