Amp is connected to speakers but the volume coming out of the speakers is very very quiet. Speakers have been tested seperately and are known to work. Have turned the input sensitivity to max, this makes the volume louder, but not much. Thanks!

Sounds like you need to turn up your gain and bass. while amp is on and your favourite music playing, turn up the diles on your amp until you get the sound you want one by one.

My Roland FP8 plays very quietly through its own speakers, through an external amp & speaker and through the earphones. There is a hissing/crackling/static sound too from the speakers. Anyone

A number if things can be wrong with it, from the audil preamp to the the audio amplifier. Even as simple as a bad volume control. Does the actual noise change patterns when you move the volume?

What do i do when my volume is not loud on my hp 635 notebook

Laptop built in speakers come with a very limited volume. Though it shows 100% the sound is not enough. That is because they are not amplifiers they are simple speakers.

If you want to get more sound, you can connect a big speaker (amp) via an auxiliary cable. And give the power supply for the amp seperately.

There are a few sotfware which will increase your sound but it is not good for the speakers as they are not designed for very loud noises like that.

Hi Strange problem with Marantz pm7001 When ever I turn the volume upto around 1/3 and 1/2 of the way, the amp cuts out and reset it self down to minimum volume. It seems like the amp ins't enough power...

What's probably happening is that the amplifier is shutting down or cutting back the volume as protection from damage. You may have a partial short in the speaker wiring that is not a problem at lower levels, but at higher ones causes the amp to see too low a load. There may a problem with a speaker or crossover component that is breaking down at higher volumes. Or something in the amp's output stage is unable to handle the load.

Test the system with a known good speaker system and length of wire and see if the trouble continues. If it does, you'll know it's the amplifier that needs to be checked. If the test speakers can reach normal volume, you can start checking the wiring and other speakers for the source of the trouble.

Does this unit come with speakers

If it has no volume control or terminals for speakers then it is a hi-fi seperate and needs to be connected to an hi-fi amp to work.

I plug it in to my speaker full volume but only a whisper comes out.

check the impedence of your speaker. if it is 8 ohm and your system is only 4 ohm then your speak is too strong for your system and it will be quiet.
if this is a subwoffer check the settings on your system and ensure the subwoofer is not set down as this is seperate to the master volume.

i hope this was useful.

The speaker works but its volume is low even if i raise it all the way up. what is wrong with it?

Connect the speakers to another computer, and compare the volume. If it still is "quiet", then the problem is in the speakers, or in the AC adapter that connects to the speakers.

Gemsound power speaker pxa105

First,
Disconnect any input cables from the amp. Turn down the volume controls and disconnect the speakers. Power back on. If you still blow fuses with nothing hooked up, have the amp fixed.
If the fuse holds, shut down and connect the speakers, leaving the volume controls down. Power up and see if your fuse holds. If you have hum, an output transistor is most likely shorted. If you have no noise, SLOWLY turn up the volume controls and listen for the hum. If all is quiet, turn down the volume controls and connect your input cables and turn the volume back up. Noise? check your cables!
