If you are on Linux, the mouse should be recognized automatically, and the driver should already be installed. The same goes generally for Mac OSX.
For Windows, try downloading the appropriate mouse driver from the Logitech website (www.logitech.com)
With new plug and play technology, most systems should be able to recognize the mouse right out of the box; however, in some cases you may need to download and install the drivers from Logitech's website.
1) Visit www.logitech.com
2) Click Support from the drop-down menus, choose "Mice" as your product type and choose your mouse model from the Product Name menu.
3) Click "Downloads" from the next drop-down menu, select your operating system. Then select your language from the next menu.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions. Depending on the version and model of your mouse, the setup instructions will vary. As long as you have entered the correct information, the instructions displayed will be for your device and system.
* Most devices come with a CD with the required drivers. You can insert this CD and follow the installation wizard.
** Be sure to insert batteries into the mouse prior to installation.
To install your cordless mouse, please go to
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support-downloads/downloads/mice?WT.ac=bc'398'344
and select your mouse from that list, and you will be prompted to download the latest software for that mouse. After the download, run the software and follow the install guide, after a restart it should be installed on your PC.
